I have gotten interesting books from the local library in the past due to fellow trapperman suggestions. A good book I am reading now is the Billion Dollar Spy. What do you guys recommend for reading? Thank you for your time.

If you've not read Lonesome Dove, do so. I'm reading it for at least the fourth time. Also, recommend Steinbeck (any of 'em, especially Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday).

I reccomend Silas Marner.

Right now I am reading Campfires in the Canadian Rockies, it's about a hunting and fishing trip to BC. Published in 1906. Amazing stuff.

Alaska, Yukon Trophies Won and Lost. You may only find it at a library

The Wilderness of Denali, by Sheldon. Out of print but you can download a copy onto a kindle for really cheap..... or again in a library.

And as Jack said......anything by Steinbeck. Without a doubt my favorite

Russell Annabel wrote some good books on Alaska
Capstick or Ruark on Africa, don't overlook Hibben, or JA Hunter
Corbett on India and hunting man eaters, Kenneth Anderson wrote some books to but he seems to be embellish things ALOT

Theodore Roosevelt is good but dry, I like Outdoor Pastimes of an American Hunter best out of his books

Frederick Selous wrote some darn good reading too

Gene Hill is you want to feel like you're sitting with an Uncle or grandfather and hes telling stories, same with Ruark's "Old Man and the Boy"

All the Jurassic World talk this week on my podcasts is making me want to read Jurassic Park and Lost World by the late Michael Crichton, one of my favorite authors.
