AC has small grocery stores in many native villages across Alaska.
They are Canadian owned and claim to be part of the old Hudson Bay Fur co. They did buy fur back in the 80s.
I once tried to sell tanned fur there and they would not allow it and said they still had ties to NAFA.

They mostly have little or no competition and since most in the villages are on food stamps they can charge what ever they want, and do.

They do a pretty good job of stocking every type of junk food you can think of and probably responsible for the diabetes epidemic in rural Alaska.
Most villagers don’t buy gallons of milk, box shelf stable milk is better and don’t expire. Most of the fresh milk is days from experation when it arrives.

Oh, boy. Yet the elders and village reps say nothing.
MurCOWski says nothing, Biden says nothing, Native Corporations say, and do, nothing.
Well, there you have it.

Made it almost 3 years without censor!

Most villages are just happy to have a store in town.
And most city folks don’t eat any smarter.

Cows milk is to make baby cows grow big and fat fast.
It will do the same to you too.

grin And....add sugar to that milk , in the form of ice cream, and there you have it ! Milk drinkers just the same, whether in frozen or liquid form. All the same. No difference. But ice cream is so much fun !
