So, when nafa went under I cabbaged onto a large pile of the big nafa poly bags.

For no other reason than they're very handy.

If you have cages on your baby tomatoes, and a frost is coming (like tonight) they are almost perfect covers.

If you want to thank me, say it with bourbon. whistle

Still have a couple. Use em to haul around frozen blocks of bait. And top lot certificates got used in the outhouse

If your outside bow target comes apart they work great for a repair.

I still use them to ship fur-to FHA.

MANY moons ago I was a receiving agent for NAFA and they gave me boxes full of those bags. They have come in handy for a variety of projects.

The amazing thing to me is a frost in late May.

We have what the old timers call the "3 witches" or 3 ice queens"

It's a series of 3 frosts/freezes. Once they happen it is safe to plant the garden.

Heck, I had snow earlier in the week. It didn't stick, but it did a couple weeks ago. Too wet to till yet, but we are still getting frost regularly. On a normal year you don't want to plant until around the first of June, and this is a late spring. And always have some old sheets handy to cover the garden if it decides to freeze.

Surprised?

The ice has only been off the lake for 10 days or so lol.

Y'all got tomatoes yet? Saw my first blooms this week. Overall been cool spring this year so growth is slow.

I had 30-32 the last three mornings along with snow rain mix. Friday it snowed pretty hard for about half the day. It was melting as it hit the ground at first, but started to build on the grass. I am trying to get a greenhouse put up to extend my growing season on each end. It has been a slow build with the weather. It is clear today, so maybe I can gain some.

That's funny.

We use Fur Harvester bags to haul sheep (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) in for the garden. smile
