Lines at all of the fish grinders it’s a shame that all goes to waste it would make for some awesome bait for bear or trapping recipes. Big walleye above the Pickstown dam and sweet cats below that same dam with no limits on catfish. Those cats looked to average 3+ pounds the walleye ran big they need to be over 15 and they had a bunch of them.
Had a report that I checked out but found nothing I’m new to the fish cop stuff but looking back I would of done things differently. They say the bigger fish move in in June will see what that brings. Beautiful country along the river breaks seeing a lot of wildlife also never knew so much hunting was allowed in the State parks starting in October. Interesting so far but lots of ground to cover always on the go still learning the ropes.

What do you mean "fish grinders"? People catch fish and then stand in line to have them ground up? Why not just release them? I must be missing something.
I have nothing clever to put here.

my dad was saving fish heads for a Korean friends mom every one he caught salmon or trout, until he found out she was selling them then cut her off now he will give her a few a month for personal use. he would nto have cared if she was givig them away but no selling game fish in WI but that is so counter culture to the Korean way even if he wasn't selling them once he found out she was he wanted no part of fish cops catching that she was selling game fish heads.
there are various Asian people who hang out around the fish cleaning stations in Racine WI ask for heads , my dad will let them have the heads but is done letting people have free bags , so they have to bring their own bag.
there used to be two guys who trapped and made bait , they would show up for salmon-a-rama week and clean your fish for free they took all the offal and heads for bait making , they were quick with a knife they filled coolers a day with fish parts maybe one of you knows who they were.

I grew up in the Dakotas and there are fish cleaning stations at alot of the bigger lakes. You can fillet your fish and then wash them into the grinder with the hose and grind up the rest of the fish. The peoples republic of MN would never build fish cleaning stations and would rather give $ to low income organizations to buy cell phones or some other foolish waste of $$. I agree we live in the peoples republic of MN. We have a nine billion dollar surplus and Walzy wants to give it to light rail and HHS, remember that debacle a few years ago? Here we go again. Property tax assessors have been on a drunken spree this year while the country heads for a recession. There is however a fish cleaning building in Walker but I assume it is city sponsored. Lawdog, Chamberlain area still doing good?

Around here it's the Mexican's that don't know or care about F&G laws. They'll fill several coolers with fish and nobody to check them.

I think that offal should just go back into the lake, to feed the crayfish that fish feed on.

Have you heard anything about Lewis and Clark fishing wise LD? All up and down the river is hot now it sounds like Rags might know more about what’s going on down that way, I’ll get a fish station pic up the next time I work.
