Back in the 1970's during another fuel shortage was it not the phrase; " find a Minnesota girl and she will keep you warm all night" Hey, the tubby one's are warm in the winter and shady in the summer.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I was complaining about $5.20 a gallon for diesel. I text my cousins down in Lakeland, Fla. and they said it was already $6 a gallon down there. I think I saw 5.49 for diesel this morning at Marathon
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I don't think this is the Democrats doing with the high prices Look at what business the Green Deal hurts the most. OIL I think Big Oil is just like us. They want the fools out of office. And high gas prices will get the job done.
I'm not a cheerleader for Big Oil by no means. Just how I see it unfolding I agree with most of your post except your first sentence, the Democrats instigated the steady rise of fossil fuel from Biden’s first day in office. Heck that’s what they campaigned on, war against fossil fuel. But now I think you are right, the oil companies are gouging, driving the price to record highs, so people will vote the greenies out of power. Hopefully then we can get back to building pipelines, fracking, and again making us energy independent. I am certainly no fan of any Democrat but..............if what you guys believe is true, how do you explain the high & higher fuel costs in the rest of the world ? Are you saying that oil companies want to change all government leaders ? You do know that oil companies have to BUY the oil they pump. It isn't free to them. Their costs are increasing too. Markets, not oil companies, control the price of fuels.

It is always easier to shoot the messenger. It doesn't solve anything, but, hey, at least you did something. I'll start you all in the right direction. There is a law called supply and demand. It is a law you can't repeal.

Gas across most of NC went down a little today. PTL. Well, golly, Chuck. Nice to see you stick up for the feckless moron you helped vote in. Unfortunately, I drive about 40K miles a year for my job, which translates to a pay cut of about an $8,000.00 for the year and tracking to get worse. Tack on the beating we are taking in the markets and it makes it awfully tough to appreciate the current leadership. But, you tell yourself whatever you need to, so you can sleep at night. Charles has been on the public dole since at least age 62, from what he has shared here. The democrats bought him and his support. https://trapperman.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/7349455/Searchpage/1/Main/533084/Words/%2BDisability/Search/true/re-cost-of-health-insurance-62-65-age-group#Post7349455 Keith

White 17. During the Trump years when we were energy independent , oil price per barrel actually went negative for a while. Now we are competing with the rest of the developed world for a limited supply of oil from opec and other countries who do not care for the USA. So yes the market is driving the price higher. July of 2020 heating oil was $1.59 in northern NY, today close to $6.00, that’s the difference between us being independent and being dependent on countries that hate us. But implying the Democrats policies have little to do with the current high price of oil is ignorant of the facts.

Got 150 gallons delivered last week to heat hot water for the summer.....$1000, I think I might keep running the wood furnace for the summer!

That's a lot different than claiming that the oil companies are ......"are gouging, driving the price to record highs". I guess I'm just ignorant of the facts.

Did anyone thing the oil companies and OPEC didn't take notice There is a saying that the cure for low prices is low prices and the cure for high prices is high prices. White and Ks Cat don't use reason and market forces. Luckily the dollar hasn't lost its value. When it does, if supply and demand remain static, oil will go over 200 USD.
