Doing a new thing here. Calling at 9 PM now. Sure would be nice to be able to put a stop to that. If the phone rings here at that time or later it is usually bad news.

I don't answer after 6pm, unless caller ID shows it's someone I know. If it's anyone else who wants to get up with me, they can leave a message and I call them back.

Same here but is still a pain to deal with. If there is no name comes up they are wasting their time as well as mine.

Google calls my work phone once an hour. Recording about updating my website for more visibility. I don't have a website. I have listened to the message through out 10 times at least. At the end it says press 2 to end the phone calls. BS that doesn't work.

Ive got two different spam call blockers running on my cellphone, no landline anymore. Does a pretty good job except for the spoofed number calls.

I had a call yesterday that literally showed up on the caller ID as illegal scam. No kiddin

I set my phone up to block any calls from people not in my contacts list. It blocks about 5-15 calls everyday. It'll block texts too if I want it to, but I don't get as many of them. IT'll still let the caller leave me a message if its a legit call. Life is much more peaceful now.

I seldom answer calls, but once in a while I am in a mood to have some fun. I started telling them if they voted for Trump I will talk to them, usually they hang up.

Don’t hang up and bury the phone under a pillow. Until you break connection that phone of there’s is worthless. They used to call me during the day after I worked all night. I’d let them chatter and tell them I’m so interested but have to sleep now. But if the give me their home number I’d call back at my 3.00 am break and buy something. They soon got the message lol

Telemarketing is opt in now, almost all the calls are scams.

Any number that calls and is not in my contacts list has one opportunity to leave a message. If no message, the number is blocked. Often they get blocked even after leaving a message!

Not true. Has no one ever butt dialed you? As soon as you hang up and break the connection, you can make another call.

I once got a call from a very close friend who had passed away about 6 months earlier. Was afraid to answer incase he was calling me to let me know I was next and he would be waiting for me. Yup, it was spam....

I change my phone number every couple of years. It works. A big pain in the butt , but it works. I get about one telemarketer every month and a half.

Not for everybody as business lines can't change and other phone numbers too.

But the 'no call list' doesn't work. Avoiding any survey or other attempt to get your info works too.

Flamesuit fully buckled up now , but changing your number does work.

Back when I was a young feller on the farm a phone call was a pretty big deal.
It was the only way to listen in on your neighbors business and vice versa.
There were no secrets in rural Wisconsin.
Ours was 3 rings, neighbor a half mile down the road was 2 rings.
Did not matter, we just all listened in.

I don't even begin to understand those that take up their valuable time to even listen to be rude with these callers. I am sure a significant part of their training is how to deal with those types of callees.
