Good gesture Zim. I've noticed the older I get the more I do and say good things for other people. Am sure it does me as much good if not more than they get. Keep it up as our world needs all the good and positive things it can get, Amen.

Excellent stuff.
I try to remember to do such things once in a while, but honestly not often enough. I am certain that it is the aggregate of these small acts keep the balance from tipping all the way into darkness.
I am proud to be associated (even if only electronically) with the fine group of men and women on this site.
Just happy to be here.

I have had a random stranger @ the grocery store pay for an item that I didn't have enough money to pay for. So I guess I was on the receiving end of one of these acts of kindness.

That's pretty cool Zim I will have to see can I pull that one off somewhere. I've always done lot pay forwards. Or random kindness which ever way works out. I can actually say I was on the receiving end of one recently. Had huge load brush on trailer was dumping at city dump site. Two young men back truck in next to me start throwing few sticks off. One says hey wait a minute we get this off we will help you with that mess. I was almost dumb founded by that. I did ask if they were on company time. Lol they just said well something like that. Anyways they helped me get that load brush of in matter of minutes compared to what I was moving at. I thanked them a bunch told them how much I appreciate it. Also told them I would pay it forward help someone next chance I get. I know my kids are like these two young men always help someone if they can. But these boys were younger 20 somethings. So there are still some good younger ones out there.

Whenever my wife and go out to eat we always look around the cafe. If we see an old person alone or someone wearing a veterans cap we buy their meal. One time we were in Texas and seen an older lady alone. We bought her lunch, but waitress told her who bought it after we asked her not to tell. She came over to say thanks. We visited for a few minutes and found out where she was from. Turns out she was from the midwest and I knew her son. Small world.

Yes. This past fall right before Thanksgiving I was in a grocery store that had turkeys for sale. I picked the smallest I could find..like 9 pounds because I was having ham too.
A elderly gentleman was at the turkey bin when I made a pass looking over the turkeys.
I asked if he needed some help and he said he was looking for the smallest turkey for him and his wife.i already knew I had the smallest one.
I took the turkey I had and gave it to him. He protested but eventually I got him to take the bird. I went on my way and so did he.]
When I got in line to pay he put his items. Which were sparss. The small turkey.a can of beans a box of instant potatoes and 6 rolls plus a few other things on the belt behind me. When the lady checked me out I told her to check him.out with mine because I was paying for his groceries too.
He protested and I told him I wanted m to do it. He said he always was the one to help people and he always paid his own way.
I told him God led me to.pay for his stuff and I was going to.
He relented she checked his stuff out. I paid told him happy rhanksgiving and he was very emotional. I told him what I did was as much for m as it was him and tha if he was eyermined to pay me back to pay me back b y helping someone else with something along the way.
I hope they had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner.
On th other ideas one day on my way to work the lady in front of me paid my bill at burger King. When I went to pay they told me she paid for me. As she left I beeped to thank her
Almost same case for me on the turkey. My wife and I were only having Thanksgiving early and I looked at a small bird and an elderly couple were behind me. I ended up giving my bird to them and I purchased a chicken!

That's awesome! You sure made her day! I was coming out of mushroom woods a week or so ago on a hiking trail. I had just came up out of the holler to the trail and plopped down on a log to catch my breath. This very old, hunched over man comes staggering down the trail and plops down beside me like we knew each other and started talking. " What did you find? All I got is a sack of #@$%#@$% oysters and a #$%=$$@" pheasant back!" I bout fell off the log laughing. How he knew I was hunting mushrooms I don't know. I did like always and said I ain't found anything.....I had about 1/2 to 3/4 lb of morels. He said his wife loved morels and he better get after it. He said if he finds her a morel or two, he might get lucky and elbowed me a couple times giggling and got up and staggered on down the trail. Lol. I got back to the parking area with only one other vehicle. The bed had a lot of shavings so I knew it was his...he said he loved carving. I put all my morels in a walmart bag and left them hanging on his mirror.
