Over there.
Get your kids off Facebook, Twitter, and other useless social media. Get back outside. Get involved in community. Get back in church. The problems ain't guns people. It's social decay. Parents, it's time to step up and be a parent rather than social media being a sick and twisted babysitter that it is.

The parents can’t even stay off the phones. It’s sickening........
I took a girl out for supper one evening an she wouldn’t stay off that phone. I got done eating, I told her to get who ever is so important to get them to buy her supper an give her a ride I was leaving. An no it wasn’t a parent or something important. The way I look at it, pulling that phone out at the table or while in company is disrespectful an unnecessary unless important.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I think physical activity is a large contributer to good mental health. I belief a lack of it is part of the mentality health crisis we are experiencing. People want to be entertained these day instead of doing something or working on something.

As long as there is evil in the world and we put our children in unprotected situations, evil will take advantage. There will always be evil in the world so the answer is to protect our children. Other issues that allow evil to spread, as discussed above, should also be addressed, but doing so will always be an uphill battle against liberal politicians. Forcing schools to have appropriate safety protocols can be done by parents on a local level.

You will have as much luck with that as making Biden buckle his seat belt and his guards only have 5 round mags.

First, let me say that I do not have a cell phone. One very annoying thing is when you are talking to someone and they pull their phone out and start texting. I stop talking right there mid sentence. They will say 'I am listening'. I will say finish what is more important to you. Sometimes I just walk away. This isn't just young folks, it is just about everyone with a cell phone. That dang thing goes off and they just have to see who it is and what they said. On a rare occasion they are actually waiting on a very important call.

If you have an issue with that post you must be one of those people that has a cellphone growing out of their ear.

We have become detached from reality. A guy gets online talking to a girl he doesn't even know, that may be Peggy in an igloo on the North Pole. Then he tries to impress her with with drama, gonna shoot Granny, just shot Granny, now headed off to school. Maybe shoot the President to impress Jody Foster.

Society is out of touch with reality, we need our feet back on the ground. The OP has the right idea, its just that the promoters of all the social media has to make money from their advertisers to finance their philanthropy to help the people they are feeding from. In the mean time "we're going down the valley".

As much as it might pain me, my thoughts are exactly the same Catch. When I was in HS when ever someone would get a new gun they were fully expected to show up early so they could park between the school an the lunch building and everyone (both students and teachers) could stop in to admire it.

Any long gun was hung in the back window for the whole world to see and nobody needed a safe space. As far as we all knew, the world was a safe place so long as you didnt do something stupid

They stood down for 40 minutes waiting on a special team to get there that’s against the taught trainings of a active shooter situation. If he’s shooting you go in and engage him to stop him is the training we had after Columbine.

Improper training or failure of leadership it sounds like, the guy that stopped the shooter it says borrowed a gun from his barber is what I had read.

In no way am I trying to make light of what happened at Uvalde. But....how many people are killed every year by drunk drivers. Yet, I have not heard any talk from anyone wanting to ban motor vehicles. Why hasn't that happened?
