That statement by made by the president of the United States should not just concern you,, it should absolutely terrify you. The president swore an oath to uphold and defend the constitution,,, not attack it. That is impeachable by treason I would think. No amendment is absolute,,,, that’s a broad range,,, freedom of speech (which covers freedom of the press) the right to assemble and peacefully petition,,,, the right to a fair trial, illegal search and seizure, the right to vote,,,,, or slavery.

I’m not sure about the conspiracy theory statement,, Biden said it. No conspiracy theory about that. And anyone who thinks destroying the constitution can’t happen,,, it wouldn’t hurt to rethink that belief after serious review of what has been happening as of late

I agree and so does the Supreme Court that no amendment is absolute. If you disagree, I recommend you read Scalia's outstanding opinion in DC v Heller. I enjoy reading it because Scalia absolutely destroys Stevens and Breyer who are writing the dissent. It is clear that Scalia enjoys his job ! From DC v Heller: " Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, con-cealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues. The Court’s opinion should not be taken to castdoubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms byfelons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of fire-arms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms. I think Biden's angle on the "no amendment absolute" statement is to fudge on the "shall not be infringed", and arms in common use precedence.
Also would love to see the reaction of the continental army, and militia members back in the day, if told no constitutional amendment is absolute....We the people decide it all in the end, don't tread on me & pick your poison.

An example would be-although there is a right to free speech you cannot yell fire if there is no fire. You have to flick your bic-then yell fire.

I hear that yelling fire in a theatre analogy alot...Usually preceding some excuse to limit or infringe.
Pretty darn sure the yelling fire argument wasn't paramount in the founders minds, but freedom of the press was, which we unfortunately do not fully enjoy today because of government control, IMO.
You think school shootings are evil? ...Yeah me too, but we haven't began to see evil if these government thugs get their way...They would kill a million kids in the blink of a eye if it served their selfish purpose....And no need to fake cry and grandstand for the cameras by so called Presidents then.

An example would be-although there is a right to free speech you cannot yell fire if there is no fire. You have to flick your bic-then yell fire. (Not picking on you Boco. You're just the one who brought up that tired, worn out straw man argument... If you hadn't, someone else would have.) When that argument comes to gun control it is an apples-to-oranges comparison... You can't yell fire in a crowded theater does not equate to gun control. If it did then we would have laws dictating how many words you were allowed to speak before pausing... Limiting the syllables in the words you use... Limiting the decibel level of your voice... And any other ridiculous thing some government idiot could dream up. "You can't yell fire in a crowded theater means" you cannot cause indiscriminate harm with your voice... Just like you can't cause indiscriminate harm with a firearm. That's called assault or murder and is already illegal. And Ken mentioned Scalia and the SCOTUS... The court has made plenty of bonehead decisions that were just flat wrong. Dred Scott is the first one that comes to mind. Ridiculously horrible decision that no one today would care to defend. Mike
