No, but those bridges and dry culverts always have trails leading through them. It would be great for coyotes. I remember O'Gorman mentioning a guy taking a lot of coyotes in those locations.

I'd think it would be against the law to trap on Interstate Highway Right away

All right of ways go state to state and some county to county. Check laws.

Arent interstates the most used corridor for the fall dispersal? I think in quoting mark june and tom miranda. I dont believe we can trap interstate row in SD but all other row we can. I may be wrong. Ive always assumed an interstate would be an almost definite territorial boundary.

I have a section of National Forest that I trap that borders a major interstate. It is one of my best locations. If you can trap near an interstate I would highly recommend it.

Can't do It In WI. At one time I figured that I would put a flashing light on the pick up and make a sign saying culvert inspector. Then start catching a truck load of coon.

When we did the coyote study the GPS tracking collars had those coyotes working the roads feeding on road killed deer.

Can’t do that here. We have to be 200’ from any city, county, or state road.

Even if it was legal, it has all the makings of a potential public relations nightmare if done at all wrong.

This is why I don't believe it is legal anywhere on interstate Highways even in states that allow ROW trapping

Absolutely correct "Yes sir". Limited Access Highways will get you a ticket as a State patrolmen told me back in '78. He let me off with a warning but reaffirmed that only in an emergency can you stop along an interstate and that was in Michigan. I was a starving college kid and every entrance/exit ramp seemed to have a 'rat house in the low spot that needed a trap or two. So when somebody tells or says you can have access to public land (rt of way) best to check with the owner ( DOT or DOR) as to their position. County or township roads might be different as many times the government entity DOES NOT own the rt of way but has an easement or assignment to it. Here in Nebraska, most county rt of ways are private property with a transportation easement (per an assistant attorney general's opinion). Consider it a semi boundary for some species and set on the other side of the fence for legal and safety purposes....................... the mike

Are u thinking pulling onto the shoulder of Interstate Highway and parking to set traps on Interstate ROW and to check? U pull over on the Interstate here the first state trooper that comes along will stop to see what's going on and even if your trapping private ground just off of ROW with permission they will put a stop to it. Any pedestrian active other than a vehicle break down is prohibited. I grew up next to an Interstate and we farmed both sides. I got a warning for just walking across it once.

I know a guy who shot one out of the passengers window from the shoulder of I-90.
In his excitement he didn't notice the State Trooper who had just pulled up behind him two seconds before he pulled the trigger.
He still has the citation hanging on the wall where he had hoped to hang the coyote skin.

I’ve pulled over far off the shoulder and set beaver and mink traps. Had two different times in the last 20 yrs where a state trooper checked on me. Told them what I was doin, and was told to have a nice day.
Both times I was in a company work truck with a door logo and ladder rack

I'm thinking to just boat in from town and when I find a Good spot
Bed some traps. The interstate is not to close to the HWY.
