I'm convinced the cylinder and barrel on mine isn't lined up. It doesn't even work as a trapline gun. Every bullet I recover from it has big flat dent on the trailing end of bullet. Key holes on paper at even close range. But ive come to the conclusion mine is the exception or not as many people would be using them. Did buy a couple lowers from them this weekend that were priced really well.

Very common on them. My brother in law gave my 11 year op ond from x Mas. It shaves pieces off the bullet and they come out the cylinder gap. I also took it apart and tightened up the barrel since it was only hand tight.

Cousin had one when we were kids it was out of time also.

Can't they be sent back to factory if there is a problem?

I put it in a drawer and bought hin a rugger single 10 in stainless and a rugger mark 2 government target both in New condition after a collector died..

Maybe I'm just lazy but I hate sending thing back. Normally I just trade or sell them cheap and let the new owners send them in. This one was a gift to my son so I can't do that.

I have had one year's, probably one of the most dogged gun I own.
And always fires, cheap ammo or good ammo always fires.

A known unsafe junk gun.
People should be smart enough to not purchase such trash.
Free market system should cause them to not be sold.
Wait and save to buy a good quality used gun.

I have 4 Heritage firearms. 1 with 6.5 inch barrel and Tru Glo adjustable sights, very accurate and have killed enough rabbits with it I have stopped counting, not more than 30. #2 Rough Rider is a birds head grip short barrel that shoots very well for what it is. #3 is fairly recent, called Tactical Cowboy, it has a rail on top with a reflex type sight, 6.5 inch barrel, so far only about 100 rounds through it with no issues. #4 is also recent but several hundred rounds through it, as it is very fun and accurate. It is the Rancher Carbine rifle with a 16 inch barrel and dovetail sights. 2 firearms have .22 mag cylinders that I have unknowingly mixed up with zero issues and have shot in all Rough Riders. I did sell my Ruger Wrangler, just was not accurate, used the funds in part to buy the Rancher. Not sure if you all have bad luck or I have good luck. My buddy shot the Rancher and bought himself one, again no issues, he shot with us last weekend. I put the checkered walnut grips on 2 revolvers and have the Patriot walnut stock ordered for the carbine. The Rancher carbine rifle was $169.00 with a leather sling.

If not mistaken, Taurus owns Heritage firearms.

Sometimes it's shooter and not the gun. I enjoy mine. My first Rough Rider with the Tru Glo sights has had 3000 plus rounds through it. I take care of it as well as pistols I paid 5 times as much for.

I can get a Ruger Wrangler for $109 and it’s ten times the firearm.

My roughrider shot “minute of coon” at four feet! Lol

I’m certain the cylinder timing was off and the cylinder to barrel fit was awful, left quite a gap. Also hated the safety.

I have a Heritage .22lr that has served me well for 8 years. Would and probably will buy another one at some point. $89 after rebate is very tempting

mines been good for quite a while.....had a spring replaced a few years ago....other than that ..I can hit pop cans @ 25 yds pretty good

Mine works great to put a slug into a coyotes chest from four feet away. I don’t ask any more than that of it.
