goin to a 3 gun match this weekend and lugging gear from stage to stage gets old so I did a little rummaging in the attic of the garage and got his old bike cart striped down a bit and ready for some fun in the sun.

used to haul the kids around in it , behind my bike now the kids are all grown and it is getting re-purposed

a shot gun a rifle and a two wheel cart

and yes I have a pink trimmed gun case , you go to some shoots and everything is black , tan or OD green and people are picking up each others cases , so when I saw this 50% off heck yeah no one is going to have one of them at a shoot

gun carts are some high dollar items if you get the ready made ones https://ruggedgear.com/shooting-carts-3-gun/ over $400 you can fill up your truck once for that much or buy a case of ammo

I will see how it goes.

Cool.

i did nearly the same with a golf cart a while back. In my case it was for yard tools, and never intended to be seen in public.

I was originally thinking a wheel barrow I am up to 4 wheel barrows now I keep finding them for 10-20 dollars at yard sales and auctions

but then I remembered I had this in the attic

my new to me yard cart is a 88 chevy S-10 , great for running fire wood around and it can get in some narrow spots , I got a heck of a deal on it , it is street legal and I do have plates on it

Give the politicians a few years and all you'll just have to carry is your single shot .22 and the 10 rounds .gov allows you. wink
Nice cart and could double as a beaver carrier during trapping season.

When I used to be an Ironworker I painted all my tools pink. My cousin also an ironworker looked at me like I had 3 heads shook his head and was like what the heck. I just asked him if he would want to borrow pink tools let alone steal them. He said he guessed I had a point. My tools never walked off either.

have one with teal trim also

when you have all of one color and style case knowing what is in what case is an issue

it actually lead to my one and only stolen gun so you can understand why I don't mind pink.
the issue was the gun got left in the truck because we thought we had them all in after very long day of shooting it was well after dark and we were ready to drop my son though I brought that one in and I though he brought it in there were 2 OD green cases in in front of the safe , problem was there really should have been 3 but when they all look identical one missing is easy to miss.
it was stolen from the truck.
If I end up with more of the same case there will be getting different tape or ribbon or something on the handle and zippers.

Hey grab my 22 it's in the black case !
which one ?
ahh one of them
looks through 5 cases finally finds the right one

when we do youth shoot days we are bringing out club guns we have dilled the bed of a truck with gun cases all the same brand and model. then having labeled what you put in the case with painters tape and a sharpie as they are checked out of the armory sure helps
14 cases and your looking for the short stocked gun for a small first year shooter. #1 and #2 are both cut down stocks but if you didn't label cases it will be in the last place you look it stinks when that is also the last case.

We have had some gun case confusion when waterfowl hunting in fields or on big water with a big boat. Everyone has some type of dark gun case. Everybody helps load, unload, put gear in the field, and gather when finished. Only a guest or new guy causes the mixups because the veterans have all learned the hard way.

Another place this happens is at bluegrass / folk / Christian music festivals. 90% of the cases are black. All players are encouraged to make their cases look unique or label them. Only a few do, the rest don’t bother. And every time instruments and cases get mismatched. Then at the end people drive away with the wrong instruments.

This same thing infrequently happens at the two gun ranges where I belong. Always a new guy or a guest. Sometimes it seems suspicious.

The same thing happened at an archery club where I used to belong. It was 2/3 compound members and events and 1/3 traditional members and events. Bow confusion happened during open shooting which was anytime there was not a formal shoot happening. It also happened during formal shoots.

The common denominators in all these scenarios are complete trust, carelessness, complacency, and lack of any identification on gear.

My gear is marked with my name and telephone pen number. Labelling will not prevent theft - that is up to me to not let my gear get into situations where theft is likely. This especially applies to tools. Tools clearly labeled helps for quick cleanup, prevents mistakes, and keeps people honest. It seems that every tool not labeled with my name and phone number has disappeared rather quickly.

we also ran into this when I site managed a bluegrass/folk/traditional music festival

there alcohol may have been a factor ,not for me but for the musicians I made the bank run at the end of the night so I was carrying.

I can remember twice instruments got mixed up and people were driving back in the middle of the night to exchange instruments because one person realized when they finished their set at 10pm or figured it out at the camp fire that they had the wrong case and some one needed their instrument for a gig the next day.

labels are good many musicians have lots of stickers from the festivals , sometimes they still look a lot the same

labels help , checking guns as they go back in the truck helps

cases that look nothing like others help

my parents used to have a color code of colored electrical tape on the handles of their luggage for easy ID at the air port

most all my tools have my spray paint color also initials

I rigged an old baby carriage, (curb PU), to schlep my fishing gear waaay back there, works great and saves several trips.

I thought this one could double as a fishing cart with some pole holders

but I mostly fish from the boat now

Have no way to take or post pic's, sorry. But it's not hard to understand. I keep most of the incidentals in a 6 gal bucket, that fit's fine in the bottom part, with a couple of bags for bait etc. hanging all around, poles fit next to it and extent over the handle, got to watch out for brush etc. grabbing them. plenty of room for a small cooler and lunch stuff, even can fit a small butane stove on it to cook with. get one with larger wheels if you can, makes it easier to roll thru the woods.
