No.... UNLESS that money was used ONLY for the rebuilding of insane asylums AFTER legislation was passed allowing for concerned family members to commit someone against their will.
The reason why I say that?
Because I DO believe it's a mental health issue causing all this, BUT I believe the MAIN issue is overmedication of people.
I WON'T have my tax dollars going towards "diagnosing" and medicating a perfectly sane person. And don't even try to tell me that doesn't happen because it does all day every day.
Genuine mental illness is no doubt part of the problem. But I think a bigger part is mental illness CAUSED by medication

NO, I would not support your idea.
If this administration has the ability to give out free phones and money to illegal aliens as well as wanting to cancel student loan debts, then the government can come up with funding for more mental health services.

no , because your idea of mental health help and theirs is so different , it is just going to end up another tax on guns to fund waste.
no new taxes
the money collected will only be used as a weapon against you , I prefer not to pay my abusers further enabling them to abuse me.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I would support ending foreign aid to fund it.

I would support a mental health tax on things like alcohol, gambling, video games, drugs, and other things that cause people to lose their mind.

Genuine mental illness is no doubt part of the problem. But I think a bigger part is mental illness CAUSED by medication You are completely correct when you say the main mental health issue is over medication. There are many root causes for why some people develop problems with mental illness .But once you have it ,it is not something you just get over by someone telling you to cheer up it can.t be that bad The medical profession /business is concerned about their profit margin I t does not interest them in long term care It serves them better to just give them more pills and hope the patients just stay numb And when those that do not stay numb and do something terrible thr doctors in charge not wanting to take any responsibly for not helping say here give this person more of these The more the government gets involved the more misguided the treatment of the patient gets .Mental illness does not get cured by a one size fits all plan of action .It must be dealt with on a one to one basis .

NO
If anything that mental health tax should be on social media and the main stream media. And violent video games!
I have nothing clever to put here.
