Well I gotta tell yall. The tractor is a 60 horse Kubota complete with cab and air conditioning.
Reason for the cab is Jerry neighbor was brushhogging and ran over some yellow jackets. He tried to jump from th tractor and when he did the brushhog ran over both his.legs and amputated them. He died from his injuries.
He was 44.
Jerry got He cab for a safety measure..the aira.n8ce too. Especially when your hauling hay bales.
And there's heat to turn on when your feeding in the winter.

Another horrible tractor story! I cannot imagine that guy’s terror and pain.
One of our best friends was killed by a tractor. Another one was crushed against a building but his wife saved him.
About 15 years ago one of our hives had gotten very mean. The bee inspector suspected skunks or coons were bothering them at night. I was mowing about 50 yards away and they swarmed me. I turned off the ignition key, jumped off, and ran. They chased me like in a cartoon. I ran into the lake and went under the water. They were hitting the surface. When I came up the cloud was waiting. I hid under a dock - again they waited. I ran again until out of breath. Went in a storage shed where I slapped myself killing bees until my hands were bruised. That night I taped closed the entrance and put ratchet straps to hold the hive together. Moved it to a new isolated location. No food shortage - it must have weighed 350 pounds. I avoided the hive for a couple months. The same hive has been fine ever since. I can mow or run any equipment next to or in front of the hive without incident.

My family has some cab tractors with a door missing. Like the cab does much good in this situation. What happened is my dad opened the door to open the gate and didn't bother to close the door and destroyed the door on a post. We did buy a replacement door . Just remember to close the door when you drive through the gated entrance .

Nice pics. Someday I want to see the country out east with my own eyes.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

We didn't do most of the farm... just one field....because of birds and fawns. We did the smallest field for better pasture.
Huck..he doesnt drink and he isn't crazy. I. Proficient on the ractor and can hold my own with anyone when it comes to farm chores. I brush hog Moving round bales and soon Ill be running the fence.post auger.
Marathonman. There are alot of turkeys here. We actually found a hen setting at the base of a walnut tree Saturday. She was on 8 she flew off but was back within minutes.

You definitely live in some gorgeous country, Cathryn. Nice photos. Thanks for sending them.
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.
