I have a couple ankle holsters. That has been my preferred carry method for decades. Ruger LCP and Walther PPK/S. Neither are comfortable. Do you know of any comfortable brands? Yes they are hot. But how about some padding? Thanks my friends!

I wear shorts pretty much year round, so they won't work for me at all. Can't imagine trying, at my age, (73), to bend over to dig a pistol out of all that laundry in an emergency.

I have a Bianchi for a J frame Smith that I carry in my left boot. It is very well padded around the ankle and the upper strap that goes just below the knee is good elastic. I can jog while wearing it and it doesn't move.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Providence - if you remember the name, please share. It sounds nice. Yes, ankle holster is good when driving and operating equipment.
Lestan - that sounds good. I will look at their info. I had a friend who was on secret service detail first team to President Reagan. He carried 3 guns, but would never show me the secrets - he said if he did he would have to kill me. Even after he retired!
Yes Sir - I will check out Galco.
160 - that sounds wonderful. Secure and comfortable.
If wearing cowboy boots, the Walther does not need a holster. It drops right in a crevice. In hunting or work boots, everything goes in a holster.
Another gun that is perfect for an ankle holster is my Walther TPH in .22 long rifle. However, I want more horsepower in a self-defense gun. So, the TPH truly is a backup gun, or a disappearing gun. I do know that my friend did carry a Walther TPH as his third gun.
