Will red flag laws pass on a federal level soon and if they do will they be used to disarm opposition to the liberal takeover?

If people are afraid to say what they want to say about the current admin for fear of repercussions is that violating the first?

What say U?

Likely to pass, and will be used more as a weaponized law ( no pun intended) for people to extract revenge on people they don't like, especially by women on their ex's.

Theres no due process in the red flag laws that I've heard of. If it passes wouldn't the ,eventually, supreme court block it because of that?

The Supreme Court is owned by Liberals and Rinos. Due process doesn't apply anymore.

Red flag is going to get people killed. Aint no good going to come of it. Marty, the bill of rights has been being dismantled for awhile now

I can't think of anything more more distasteful than Red Flag laws. They are a clear violation of due process. The Constitution mandates that no one shall be "deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law." Seizing the property of individuals who have not been convicted of a crime (or even charged with a crime) violates this provision.

Depriving individuals of a clearly established, constitutionally-guaranteed right in the absence of criminal charges or trial is a clear cut assault on civil liberties.

How any Democrat or Republican for that matter, can support this is beyond me.

Red Flag laws will be used and abused just like police for profit laws. Using forfiture laws Police take assets and property without due process now. What has been done about that?

Cops have been stealing cash without due process for many years

I had a friend that been dead now for a decade. His live in girlfriend was not stable it turns out. One day she pointed her gun to shoot him, he got it away from her steped away and turned his back to put the gun away. He didn't know she had another gun and he turned back just in time to see her with it to her head and pull the trigger.

The cops came and took all the guns and ammo. Now this guy had tons of both. Gang boxes full of ammo and hundreds of guns. You could see the gouged floor where they drug the boxes with ammo out.

Let's just say after a long legal fight he didn't get all the guns they took or any of the ammo back. All the nice high end stuff and ammo never got loged into evidence. He got some of the cheap common stuff the cops didn't want and did log in.

I have seen it more than once. And people wonder why I don't trust cops.

Heck a friend in high-school got pulled over. He gave then the pot he had when they asked if he had any drugs. They took the drugs and drove off. He was just happy he didn't get in any trouble. I was mad he let me in a car with drugs and didn't tell me he had them in the car. I knew whet he did he knew I didn't care but didn't want to be around it. I thought he respected my decision other untill that day.

I learned a few things that day. Some Cops are really dirty and don't have out with folks that are involved with drugs.

Just think of the possibilities that a vindictive ex-wife or girlfriend could have with a Red Flag law. My opinion is with no due process, the law gets things backwards, you're guilty until you can prove you're innocent.

If you have enemies, it might be best to get creative in storing the bulk of your firearms...Keep some protection at home, but not much else.

I doubt it will pass federal. The states laws already established should be overturned for a bunch of different rights violations if it ever gets to the SCOTUS if they hear it.

I also don't think it will pass federally. At least not prior to the midterms. Many states don't have primaries until August and even September and a vote against guns would be a death knell for any Republican that's not running unopposed in the primaries.

Now, if the libs keep the house and steal the senate in November, red flag laws will be the least of our worries, imo.
