As I said in an earlier thread, I got myself a couple of 3 D printers and am learning CAD again. The problem are the things that just pop into my head at times. I have a few ideas regarding proper automotive parts that are not on the market ...at least I can't find them. That kicked off this whole thing. But in order to make those parts I need some measurements and I will get them when I am next out in " civilization " but just printing calibration parts is sort of boring right?? Sooooo in the theme of auto motive parts and as my truck does not have the usual 5.7 HEMI sticker on the side like most ..... well






I know, I don't exactly have a political correctness gene. May do an ultra MAGA one for the back ...... I think it has lifted the value of my truck somewhat.

I saw an interview from Tucker show, of Kid Rock, who has those on his trucks and cars. There is a place who makes them and sells them also. I looked and found this link too, from Amazon. Just to let you know.

They look for all the world to be the same decals that auto makers put on their different name editions .

I don't know pricing on these, but you sure did a great job with your printer, Michael.

In another interview Tucker had with the CEO of the company who makes them , it was stated that no one cares how these and other stickers are made and get around, so long as they do .

LOL ... they did them injection molded and with the letters proud ...... i did them so I could fill them in with paint ... those do look nicer though than the printed ones ......... i think I have seen vinyl stickers similar to that somewhere but cant remember where .

Sharon I don't have to sit next to the printer when it makes them ... Takes about 2.5 hours to print one of them so I let it do its thing in the night. Its like having elves working and getting the finished item in the morning when I get up.
We have to kill some weeds in the garden and so as not to have any over spray, last night the elves made this shield for the little sprayer. I could not find something that would fit on that cheap sprayer I bought for just this purpose. So 10 minutes playing with the CAD program and 7 hours of night time printing and I have want i wanted.

Those printers are so cool, Michael, and you are just the inventor that needs to have one.

I have been getting into painting model horses made from resin, not the old time plastic, from very good sculptors , to resell. Painted, they look real.

A few of them have invested in those 3 D printers and begun making their horses digitally , the layout designs on computer, then to the printer. It is amazing what those printers can make.

You are on the road to inventing novel, innovative things !
