Having trouble with PayPal releasing money. Went to a venue last weekend and did well. Some was cards which went yo my paypal account. As I have not used that much due to the covid they locked me up and want my life's story to unlock. There resolution site asks for items not needed for my type of selling here. The boxes needed to open so information can be added will not open. Need a better option if I can find one.

Is there a better site like paypal that is more user friendly. Just looking for recommendations.

Keep in mind, if you do selling online, many people won't use any other than paypal due to their buyer protection.

I would call PayPal. Their customer service is fairly competent on the phone, compared to most businesses and they will resolve problems much faster than their web based customer service.

We have used Paypal for many years as our merchant for our websites. We have had very few problems and if we do, we call for help or speak to one of their support service associates.

Been very good for us to this point.

We never experienced any Covid lock ups or any disruption of our business in that time period. Basically business as usual.

If you were paid with a card(s) that may not have cleared for payment or their is a problem with the anything about the card that was used. It will say on your account regarding that sale or purchase if payment is pending. If you don't have reserve funds in your account to back up the transaction or withdrawal, then they will not release any funds.

I would give them a call and they will tell you pretty quick where things stand.

I have PayPal. Sometimes they’ll be brief periods of lots of activity and then I’ll let it sit for six months and not use it. I’ve never had a problem with them locking up any of my accounts.

My daughters are always trying to get me to use Venmo and I did sign up but it’s given me nothing but trouble. When we do transactions I insist they use PayPal.

Also, it’s all Ebay accepts as far as I know?

Eh...wot?

Just an FYI - Venmo and PayPal are owned by the same company. Just a different marketing plan.

I've used a number of different platforms, and they all have their pros/cons. If you can resolve the issue with PayPal, I'd probably stick with them.

I will wait a bit. Been with PP for about 5v years. Second time they did this. Sales that did this were considerably higher then my usual 2-3 hundred at the last 4 venues. All sales were good.
Had a lot of problem with last bank change but finally got that done also.
Thanks for the feedback.
