That’s not that bad really for the size of the boat at today’s prices. I know of three boats in the Big Rock tournament right now that will spend close to that daily unless they stay out overnight. And diesel at the Dock around here is around 6.19 last time I checked.

I took a 73 Hatteras From Hilton head to Herrington Harbor ( near Annapolis ) the fuel tab for that trip was just north of 38 grand. And that was at around 4.50 bucks a gallon

I have seen people run used vegetable oil in their diesel pickup trucks. Can a modern Marine Diesel Engine run on waste vegetable oil ? If it can, any idea on what the reduction in horsepower is when running used vegetable oil in a Marine diesel engine ?

That is a ridiculous statement.

That particular boat is not even owned by anyone.
It is on the boat company website.

What is the point of this?
List how much to fill the tank on a commercial jet, a bus, a 5 gallon safety can!

All im saying is I don't give rats (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) what some person or companies yacth costs to fill up.

They can afford to fill it up or they wouldn't have.

Im.living with the reality of trying to make enough money to keep my gas tank off empty and toilet paper in the house at the aame.time.

I'll go out on a limb and guess around approx. $25 to fill a 5 gallon safety can.

That’s a $9 million boat. And more than likely used only for recreation. I feel for any and all of us buying fuel at these prices, but have a little less sympathy for someone who owns one of those.

Didn’t realize we had so many Democrats on here, lol. They’re rich and can afford it so it doesn’t matter, lol. Guess it has nothing to do with life decisions and what one can or can’t afford. They can afford so screw them, I can’t so poor me.

Your correct Mark I know lots of people that are well off or better, the problem I see with them is that the majority of them were born into money and just can’t really wrap their head around the problems of those of us that weren’t, most of them have never had to decide which bills are going to have to wait to get paid and which will, or how to make a paycheck stretch so that you have food for the month and your kids don’t go hungry

But and it’s a big but it’s a bad failing on their part because it breeds resentment in many when they make a statement that shows that ignorance, one of the most famous examples is Mari Antoinette’s who when informed on the hunger of the people told them to eat cake, because she just couldn’t comprehend people not having cake, it’s the same with a certain political animal who recently bragged about how in her new electric car she went right past all the gas stations and didn’t have to worry about what the price was

It’s not a reflection on how good or bad they might be but I think if things keep going the way they are your going to see a growing resentment and hatred for those making such statements, and remember what happened to Mari and those like her, if this keeps up a similar situation might come up here, which would be a bad thing IMOH
