Mow the lawn , and haul the Garbage totes out, and then back the next morning. At this rate, if gas gets up to $7.00 a Gallon, I might have to switch to Regular

I never really thought about how much it cost me to mow, I mow our lawn and my wife mows here mothers lawn. I would estimate we use at least 4 gallons of gas to mow the lawns each time. So I guess we are spending over twenty bucks to mow each week.

Needs more fertilizer so you can mow it some more.

I have not been mowing or Bush hogging like normal this year during to lack of time. I normally go through 30 gal every 2 weeks.

No but I did drop some in the bush.

I have neighbors still mowing 3 acres around their homes as well as the shoulder of the county road. Gas prices are not high enough yet.
I’m mowing about once per month, biggest waste of time, money , and energy mowing lawns.

I am with ya, I mow once a month and weed eat every other month. The neighbors I am sure love my landscaping abilities. My dad talks about a relative of his when he was a kid, this relative would mow a path to the front door and one mower width around the house, then a path to the barn and one width around it. That is how I aspire to be one day.

I maybe go thru 5 gallons of gas all year mowing our small yard tho we own approx 25 acres.
Price of gas was never a thought when determining lawn size, it was always how small can I make it to better allow free time for me and how, how to maximize area for wildlife.
I can easily mow my lawn with a push mower in about 15-20 minutes.

If the high price of gas get some to allow some of their lawns to revert back to nature then at least some good came from it.

You all need smaller lawns!

With all the rain we aren’t getting, we mow more in December than we have this Spring/Summer, which isn’t a bad thing.

more rabbit and bird habbitat every riding mower needs a stick of powder under it get tired of people saying they like mowing their yard ride the mower then go work out get a push mower lot better for people and rabbits both lol
