Please delete if not allowed, I have made a discord for trappers by trappers. Me and my buddy made a discord server for trapping and I realized this may be the best place to put it to get traffic. If you're interested in joining, please reply to this thread.

What is a discord for trappers?

Discord is an app or website that was started for gamers and then when covid hit, they geared it towards school. It's used for chatting with other people in voice or you can also use it as a forum. It has the same rules as Trapperman.

I don't use those kinds social media platforms, but I think it is the future. I hope this works out well, if you follow the same rules that are followed here, I'll bet you will have success.

It's basically the porboards for 2020. Not really something I'd reccomended to alot of older people, just not really made for y'all. Originally it was more of a app for gammers and tech nerds

LOL, I've got a few invites for Discord in the last 6 months, had NO idea what it is.
Being old, figured it was a bunch of malcontents, judging by the name, lol.

Then again, I don't social media outside a handful of websites.
But you kids knock yourself out!

Call me old fashioned but I like it when real people talk to other real people.
In person.
With eye contact.
And hand shakes.
And smiles.
And all sorts of mannerisms that our culture isn't teaching because mommy and daddy and the kiddos are too deep into tech devices.

Not to worry though because Artificial Intelligence and Transhumans will be the next modern progress to bring untold wonders to the masses.
And technology is seeking to bring fairness and equality to all the people all the time.
Can we only imagine how wonderful all this will be to people crafted by their Creator to talk to other real people.

well your probably not wrong on much of the tone of conversation on the app it doesn't have to be.

it allows for voice and text , my kids and their friends have discord server groups they primarily use it to fire up a no cost conference call using their PC gaming headset or phone.

it is the party line of the late 20teens and early 2020s the girls chat and giggle

the boys use it for gaming

now that the boys are al old enough to be out of school and have full time jobs they mostly go to a friends house , as in the 19 year old friend owns the house not his parents house they discovered gaming in person was was better. but when your in highschool and getting such a group together is an issue Discord was the tool.

Well to be fair, I fear the the 2 years of lockdowns, masks, etc have REALLY hurt our youth.
Developmentally, the first few years when kids key in on facial recognition, etc have been taken from many, if not most.
Some kids had almost zero contact with people outside their IMMEDIATE family.
My kids came up through 4H etc and are grown now.

Fairs, shows, club meetings etc just about stopped.

My wife judged a 4H livestock show a couple weeks back.
Said very low turnout, seems lots of kids didn't come back.

So ANYTHING that helps them connect, is a plus.
And on line isn't near as good as face to face, but it's miles ahead of NOTHING!
