Grandpa Trapper OP trapper G Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 3,611 Idaho Falls, ID	Due to heavy rains, flooding, numerous sections of roads washed out and rockslides all roads into Yellowstone are now closed. They are people apparently still trapped in the park.

loosegoose trapper L Joined: Jun 2018 Posts: 4,268 Beatrice, NE	I'm doing an 8 day backpacking trip just southeast of the park in a week and a half. According to the ranger I talked to today, there's no flooding where I'm going, it's all more northwest of where I'm going in the park proper.

My brother and his family are still planning on going , we tried to tell them that the roads are gone and the park is closed but I guess he will find out when they get there .

There's no way they are going to be able to reconstruct those roads before the end of summer. That's going to concentrate everyone into the southern part of the Park and make traffic and congestion that much worse. Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand

A lot of damage to the roads in the video. It is going to take major reconstruction to rebuild these sections of the roads.
