The sun's output is not static. Never has been. The climate is changing but the whole CO2 argument is a fraud.

Global warming is a fact for sure. All the elders including me that lived their life on the land know it. The role of mans activities influencing it is debateable but the fact that winters are no longer the same is definitely not debateable. Wow. Here's a rare nugget of common sense.

Boco, the "elders" during the 1300s experienced global cooling that lasted until the 1800's. Any observation made during such a short time span of an individual's life means nothing in the big scheme of things.
Now see, that makes sense. But you started out claiming that your own experience with snow at your gold mine is evidence that global warming is NOT happening. Maybe you were just joking, I don't know. Anyways... that is a great picture of the creek running underneath the snow cave.

In the ancient past many millions of years ago we have also experienced periods of global warming. Fossil evidence proves this.
The difference of what is happening now is the speed in which the globe is warming up. The best answer to explain how it is happening at lightening speed (geologically speaking) is the massive amount of greenhouse gases (Co2, methane, etc) being released by human activities. In academia there has been really no debate about this for quite some time. The only naysayers that have any scientific credentials seem to be getting paid by big fossil fuel.
Like Paul said, follow the money.

Ever notice this: When its hot and sunny, go into the woods, where the ground is naturally mulched and its shady and relatively cool. Then go into a tall grassy field where the sun heats you from above but the ground is much cooler. Then go out in the middle of a fresh cut, parched hay field, hot from above AND below. These are all somewhat natural surfaces. Now, got to a large blacktop parking lot, or up on a roof. whew it's MUCH hotter and that heat is reflected up and really heats the atmosphere. Now consider ALL of the roads, pavement, parking lots, roof tops and everything else that absorbs heat, transmitting it to the atmosphere. On a given day, the parks are much cooler than downtown. You can fry eggs on many of the man made surfaces, very few in nature. Also, lay you hand on most any car hood in the hot sun, even in the cooler months. Now consider all of the flat metal surfaces on the planet. Imagine the square acreage and the heat THAT generates. Add it all up ..... think about it. I think it is FAR more than C02, that's just an easy excuse to generate a lot of cash. The ocean levels are rising a bit, but more likely from all of the beach goers urinating in them. (oh yeah, and a bit of "warming" going on there too)

There is no debate in academia because of censorship. If you completely remove any dissenting opinion, of course there is no debate. That is not science. That is an agenda. Spot on, BandB. When "scientists", politicians or climate activists claim the science is settled, and there is no further debate, it is no longer credible science. Sound science thrives on critical debate.

They are baffling you with bs. CO2 can't absorb much electro magnetic energy due to it's shape and bond angle. Heat is energy being transfered in a thermal dynamic system. All the wavelengths it can absorb happens miles up in the atmosphere. Most CO2 is static in our atmosphere. Adding more doesn't magically make it absorb energy and cause more heat. Only adding more energy does.

Yep, and volcanic eruptions, plus seabed gasses escaping to the surface are all it takes to completely obliterate any greenhouse gas control measures.

Greenhouse gas..is laughable. It's like covering a frame with chickewire and calling it a "greenhouse". lol

Each molocule of carbon in Co2 is accompanied with 2 molecules of oxygen. . just CO2 has two narrow bands of obsorbtion in the IR spectrum. 94.5% of the sun's energy goes right on by causing no heat. Watering your lawn causes more heat than driving your car.
