Zinc with Quercetin Vit D Zinc and D won't do much if ya nose is already clogged up tight and ya coughin like a 2-pack-a-day smoker. But, for daily supplement to keep up ya immunity they're good.

It’s odd that this is your second round...should have antibodies from first episode to fight this latest case off. Hope you and others continue to improve in feeling better. Chewk, Im sure we do have some antibodies, but Im thinking this is a different strain/variant. I got a feeling that this is always gonna be here to deal with just like flu or the cold as it's constantly mutating and overriding a person's antibodies. Maybe its getting less lethal when it does that, but the flu does same thing and it's still kills weakened individuals. As the vaccine becomes more refined and tested, folks that are a higher risk of bad symtomatic infection may want to consider it.....just like the annual flu shot. For me, Im not willing to do that just yet. Ive never had a flu shot either.

Congrats on being recognized for your volunteer efforts for NWTF.. There are so many good organizations that are promoting good causes .All of us are busy and there is never enough time to do all the things we want to do . But the dedicated people that are the grass roots of all of the wildlife conservation groups are the reason our hunting heritage still exists here in America .Take care and get well Thank you w side rd 51!!!

I honestly didnt know the docs were even testing for it. Last time i was in to a PA has been several months for a sinus infection she told me shes not goin to bother testing for the vid because theres no point. It was refreshing as theres an MD there who tries giving lectures on why youre irresponsible to not vaccinate. I dont think there is much testing. My wife wanted to know and "made" me go to local health dept for test. They still do curbside nasal swab with an appt and its only 1 block from my residence. My doc wouldnt have tested for it unless I asked. He was only interested in treating the symtoms, which is all that can be done anyway...just like the flu or a cold.

Thanks for all the info and well wishes.
Except for that lingering nasal congestion, day 6 isn't too bad. Its winding down...just like the flu or a cold does.
I, like many, thought this crap had died out, but it hasnt. Like the flu, it's here to stay and is one of those ailments we all dread getting and dealing with.
Maybe, those on here picked up a little more info on re-infection and will know more about what to expect. If you get tested and are positive, you have to listen to (or read the paperwork about) the "quarantine" time, which is now 5 days instead of 14.
My take = it's about like the flu. Treat it as such.

It’s odd that this is your second round...should have antibodies from first episode to fight this latest case off. Hope you and others continue to improve in feeling better. I'm guessing you can still pick up the new variants to some degree. I had covid back in September of 2020, and over the next year I twice tested positive for the antibodies. The antibodies eventually wear off, however, memory cell such as T cells develop that just lay-in-wait for the virus to reappear. Then these T cells make antibodies to fight off the virus. Last spring (2021) I was exposed for several days, in close quarters to someone who had the Delta variant, I took absolutely no precautions. I picked up the first symptoms of a "bug", it lasted just one day, it was almost as if I could feel my body fighting it off. More recently I have deliberately exposed myself to people with the omicron variant; no symptoms, I'm hoping that my body is doing the natural thing now in order to build up resistance.

It sounds like covid has sort of just morphed into something similar to the common cold. I think that's great. It’s what they call it that’s important. I’m pretty sure the next new vaccine will be the end of it. LMAO The first strain of Covid weeded out the unhealthy. That’s the way disease works.
