Growing up on a farm I was always around dogs .But we never allowed them in the house .It was not until I was in my 60's that I had a house dog .And I have learned a ton about dogs since I have now 2 house dogs. The love and companionship that they have in them never stops amazing me. They are beyond intelligent .. And no matter how bad your day might seem they make it better . Good luck bonding with your new pup and enjoy the little puppy cause he will grow quick

My last companion dog died in 2010. Have not raised a puppy to keep in 40+ years.

Great dogs if you understand them, if youre planning on letting him run on the trapline youre going to have some long days sitting at a den hole waiting for him to come out or holding them back from your catches. They are not afraid of ANYTHING. Great companions but when the truck door opens the only thing on their mind is hunting/killing and you wont change it. I grew up hunting these dogs and theyre very fun but not for everyone. At least our hunting bloodlines

Yup….a terrier off leash is a bad thing…lol..very strong prey drive…plus Terriers don’t come when they are called…unless a cookie is involved…lol

I agree with everything said here! I still have one left! Little land sharks is what they are, but very loyal! A shock collar helps also if they don't listen. That pups daddy, has killed a bunch of my livestock, ducks, gunieas, chickens, and likes to lead my airedale/jagt dog into trouble! I spent almost three years getting that one broke off the livestock, but she will still participate, if given the chance! lol
