It is easier to spend someone else's money. grin

It reminds me of a story..

I know a guy.. who I always liked till he tod me a. Story of something he did.

Him and a couple buddies were partying years ago and his buddy lost his bag of smoke..he was looking everywhere for it cause he'd just bought it..like an ounce.

So anyway..the guy..weasel Is his nickname..found the bag of smoke and didn't tell his buddy even though the guy looked for it a night..I said that's screwed up he said we I smoked one with him.

I said that didn't matter cause you knew it as his and you kept it.

We ended up agreeing to disagree and I always have kept an eye on him since.

That's grounds for a butt whipping in my neck of the woods..at the minimum.

I still see him from time to time but I don't visit with our mutual friends if he's around.

You people are just different I guess.
No one took it like you figure.
It was a drinking session with the boys,(All close buddys)everyone buying rounds all night long.
Everybody got a good laugh including Joe.
There was quite a bit of scrapping,if thats what you mean by butt whipping(that could mean something entirely different from where your from I suppose) now and then back in those days, but the crew was always on the same side..

I guess you Americans are just different.

You never said you ever told him.. your original post sounded sneaky...imo
...like ya did it but didn't let him know. If your original post had been more in depth there'd a been no issue with.me

It has nothing to do it being an American

Mike ..You're 100% right...it's a well fitting nickname for him..he probably earned it before I knew him for being a weasely sob to someone else

I thought that it was out of character for you.

I'm glad it was.

I pick at you some but you seem like a decent guy and a real good trapper.

That's what I was like (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)?

I'm glad you're a good guy like I thought.

I like Boco's bar story, especially after reading the full version. In the circle of friends I have been known to keep, a guy like ole Joe wouldn't've fared as well. We would have drank all of that fat wad we found on the floor as soon as we saw whose it was. We would have eventually made it up to him, but he did need to learn the hard lesson of carelessness around the likes of us.
Around here, it is behavior like what Boco describes is how you can tell who your real friends are. We tend not to joke and carry on like that with folks we don't like.

What a strange crowd I must hang with.We don't steel from each other,or anyone else for that matter. So,,if you and Bozo found an old ladies purse in the parking lot, surely the best thing to do is spend all her money before giving it back to her,,cause anyone that drops their wallet "needs to learn a hard lesson".Your both thieves in my eyes.

The only woman I've ever threatened to physically harm and conveyed the threat to was a neighbor. Most have been pretty good.

Bocos story sounds like something my friends and I would do. He didn't find a strangers wallet and spend the money he found a buddies who was there with him. I am sure in time his friend found a way to return the favor. Maybe you all live in a different world but I found the story funny.
Back to the original post I am probably not the greatest neighbor. I pretty much keep to myself, if someone needs help and asks I freely give it but very seldom do I offer without being asked. I take care of my own problems and expect others to do the same. My wife is super outgoing so we kind of offset each other.

Invisible fence and Rottweilers make for good neighbors.

Neighbors on either side are 300-400 yards away. All's good with both. If they need me..........or if I need them........we're here. Otherwise, we all pretty much keep to ourselves.
