I don't think anything's going to bring down the price or availability of hunting ammunition.Henrys had a lever action chambered in .35 out now for a few years,if Ruger puts out a .35 too will it make a difference?I don't see it.Winchester,Henry,Pedersoli all have lever actions chambered in 38/55,Our local gun store just got some of Winchesters offering in that caliber,$80 a box of twenty.

Doesn't Hornady still make the FTX LeveRevolution ammo in .35 Rem? I already have plenty of loaded ammo, brass, and bullets for this caliber.

If they make another one of those 336's in .35 Rem with stainless and the laminated stocks, short mag tube, I may have to buy one. I sure wish I had bought one back when Marlin sold them.

Better off getting a new 336 in 30-30 unless you have some real specific reason for 35 Remington. It kills just as dead and ammo is generally easier and cheaper. 35 Remington is a very low use caliber in comparison no matter how cool it is. Even when ammo was plentiful it was not as available or cheap. They are very expensive guns from Ruger now though, but they look to be very high quality to me. I love my old 336. I gave it to my son and he has killed several deer with it. It’s very accurate and fun to use.

I have a Marlin 336 S. C. chambered for .35 Rem. It was built in 1953. My dad shot his first buck with it, I shot my first buck with it, my daughter shot her first buck with it and hopefully my granddaughter will shoot her first buck with it this year.

I was at a local gun shop late last year and saw seven boxes of .35 Rem ammo someone had given the owner to sell for them . They were $25.00 per box. I bought all seven boxes which almost doubled my supply of them.

I have a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem also It was purchased new in 1972 I like it a lot but after a few years I switched to using a bolt action . Even though I am left handed and am using a righted rifle I prefer a bolt action rifle I have found I never missed out on getting a deer because I did not fire enough rounds .But a lever action is a nice gun to carry .And someone that is a good shot can kill a deer no mater what type of gun they use Lugnut has it right a large part of the joy of hunting is the traditions we create while sharing the time with friends and family

I have an 1894 in 357 mag made in 81 in like new condition. It's my first gun I have owned I was worried about taking g it out and putting beauty marks on it.

I hope the new one go back to the nice slim wood loke mine had instead of that 3/4" proud crap like the last ones they made.

If the quality on the new ones is good I can see me buying some in 35rem 30/30 357 mag and if offered 350 legend. The legend because I'm sure it won't be offered in 357 maximum and legend ammo has been available and relatively cheap.

I don't think you will ever see a 350 legend 336 , the locking lug is in the wrong place to take that much pressure

henry could make a long-ranger in 350 if they wanted but other than filling a niece market in strait wall states there is nothing a 350legend does that a 308win doesn't do better and they already make that.

Really ? The bullet companies would have to design and market a new family of bullets to use in tubular magazines. The 308 MX and 338 MX used existing round and/or flat nosed bullets, back when.
I suspect Ruget/Marlin may bring those back.
The above suggestions would certainly be some interesting cartridges.

But you see I'm in one of those caliber restricting states for public land hunting. That said a 357 mag from a carbine does a very nice job. Still I prefer a 243, 7mm08 ect but I don't need them just like the bang flop instead of short tracking jobs.

But a 357 mag factory threaded would be very nice.

I get it I hunt one of the very few shotgun and pistol only townships in WI shot 2 with a 300blk pistol last year thinking my 20ga slug gun this year with sabots my son got one also now I am also tired of the tracking , it doesn't mater how short it is in the last minutes of shooting light it is too long.

No way, man. .35 Rem is .050 better!

Longest 300 black out pistol tracking job I have had was 35 yards using 110 v max. The rest dropped or stumbled and floped maybe 10 to 15 yards.

.40cal 20 g sabots I have them go out to 70 yards. 12g foster rifled slug they always seem to drop. But 357 mag us about the cheapest round I can load to hunt with that does a great job.

My boys use several different guns and the x bow so they get a lot of variety.
