I always had good experiences with progressive. Mine is quite a bit more than $317 a year, I think it’s up around $1200ish, but I’ve got full coverage on two vechiles and I’m a younger guy. I’ve only had one claim, a hailstorm totaled my pickup. Although I feel like having a class A CDL with no restrictions, a tanker endorsement and one ticket in twelve years ought to qualify me for a lower rate. I haven’t shopped around for a while, maybe I ought to spend some time on the phone on Friday.

I've tried most all of them over the years, and finally settled on FARM BUREAU. I have 2 houses, a car, a pick-up and a boat. Last year, I had hail damage on both houses, and they replaced the shingles on them both. At the lake house, the agent told me to keep all receipts and after all is settled, they would re-imburse the 1% copay, and sure enough, they did. I busted the hydraulic lift on my boat motor and they replaced that and, also replaced my steering cable, which was bad from wear and tear. No cost! Boat insurance is like $125 a year and I have used it 3 times already. No argument, ever. Maybe in Texas but Farm Bureau in TN took my dad for a ride when his house was hit by a tornado. He'd been with them over 50 years and no claims. No car stuff, no home claims, they were absolute garbage. It really bothered him the way they treated him. I'll have to ask him who he switched to after that.

We just moved to Florida from Indiana. Everyone warned us our insurance would go way up. 2015 F150 was paying $634 a year in Indiana. Got 3 quotes down here. Direct wanted like $4000, Geico wanted $1500 and Progressive wanted $680. Was pretty happy with that.
When I was in business my favorite company to deal with was Farm Bureau. Those adjusters usually looked for ways to pay their customer's deductibles. Great people to work with.
