Been wanting a parts washer for the garage. It would come in handy, and I do have an extra square foot of space that is navigable. Trouble is those things are expensive and junk to boot! I was looking on Amazon and couldn't believe the prices. Also, most are for use with water-soluble degreaser. Most of them in the reviews said that petroleum based degreaser melted the pumps. Then I ran across a you tube review of a Harbor Freight one. Usually, I'm not a fan, to say the least. However, this looked ok and the price was great. $125 so I bit. I went, picked one up, put it together, built a dolly for it, so I can wheel it around the garage, and picked up 10 gallons of solvent from TSC. I have to admit, so far the thing is working great with no issues. If you're looking for a cheapo one, this seems pretty good, and you won't beat the price.

FWIW: Stoddard solvent, that most parts cleaners use, is just #4 Diesel, Although these days that's not a bargain either.

I have had the exact same one for probably 20 years now with no issues in my shop. Safety-kleen just got to expensive for their disposal.
I buy Gunk by the gallon, same stuff ya can buy in a spray can, and mix it with kero. Works great.
Get yourself a brush with a hose that slips over your nozzle so cleaner comes out end of brush, priceless!

I've had one just like it for close to 20 years. No problems with it. Keeping the solvent from evaporating is my only complaint. Still, I've only refilled it once in those 20 years. I used specially designed low evaporation parts washer solution. I think it is mostly mineral spirits with evaporation inhibitors. It's a very useful piece of equipment in my garage. I used to use it all the time when I was working on racecars.

I was just going to fill it with kerosene, but at this point, the solvent was just as much or less.
