does anyone have a good video on how to increase the pan tension on my mb 550, some of them are firing @ 1-1.5lbs. I would rather use a file than bend the dog, but I'm not sure how to file it to increase the tension. Thanks.

Bend the end of the dog upward to increase the tension and downward to decrease. I think there are pictures in Minnesota traplines catalog showing the process.

For coyotes my pan tension is as hard as I can make it. I WANT the foot ON it when it goes off. I don't care about increasing the dead area, by doing that.......jk

I read these posts about MB’s and after 4 or 5 dozen I have never had one below 3-3.5#. Even after 3 years and multiple catches on a trap, they still are all at 3-3.5#.
