In Arkansas. Big trees. Is there a cure for it?

Sadly there’s not much to be done. Its a fungal disease. If It’s it just on limbs you could prune and then burn the limbs but the rest of the tree will likely become infected.

I have heard of people pruning and destroying the infected branches etc. You are dealing with a fungus, but if the trees are big and within a forested type setting it may be too late, difficult or almost impossible to prune etc. I have not heard of a cure or treatment but there may be products that slow the progression of the organism.
