For some years I always have a problem with sinus. Whether in the house or outside, I get plugged up, then start hacking up this crap.

So yesterday, my daughter brings a representative in(previously planned) to show what the Rainbow vacuum cleaner/air freshener would do.

After the 1 hour plus, I bought it. Not cheap. But she showed me what my cheap vacuum missed all the time. Plus it would spit dust out in the air.

I purchased it. This morning I went about to clean the house with the attachment for vacuuming. I ended up emptying the water bowl 4 times.

So much dirt that I was embarrassed when done. It sat last night running the room air conditioner. It smelled good this morning.

I'm 75 and trouble breathing this crap is not good.

Is there anyone on here who has one and mention your health? Mines looking up from here, not from 6 feet under.

Dust can cause a lot of health problems. Having a good vacuum cleaner and air purifier can help a lot. Not cheap but helps a lot. Wife has purchased one of each of the air purifiers listed below. They are good quality and help a lot.

Also a good nose rinse will help get all of that crud out of your sinuses.

Your air ducts also collect a lot of dust over the years. If you've lived in the same place for many years it's a good idea to have them cleaned.

FYI
I hope the salesman told you this , store the Rainbow vacuum with the motor away from the water bowl. Keep it dry or the water will rust the motor quickly. Even a small amount of water left sealed up will cause damage. Best way to store it is slightly disassembled so it can fully dry out.

Good vacuum , spendy but good. Cheap vacuums blow out a lot of dust in their exhaust.

We had one years ago, good machine! What I didn’t like was where we threw out the water afterwards. Let’s just say, it accumulated. Another thing I learned a year or two ago is that they make bags for shop-vacs. What a difference they make as far as dust. If you don’t have bags on your shop-vac, get them.

You used to be able to spray paint with the Rainbow vacuums. I knew a guy who painted a car with one.

Cragar: why would I let the vacuum with the water be stored dry. Thats the idea to use the water system to suck in all the dust and output a minute amount of humidity?

It can run continues 24/7 365 to keep the air cleaner. It meets Hepa standards.

I would not doubt it can run 24/7/365 and be used as a air purifier. When running there is plenty of airflow over the motor and the motor producing heat to keep dry.

When you shut it off , that is when you can have a problem.

You probably will dump out the nasty water and refill. Closing the vaccum with water inside creates a very moist environment that will not dry out for weeks. Keeping an electric motor in that is not good.
I've heard from Rainbow owners that the metal bracket holding the motor is the first part to see surface rust. Then electrical contacts and connectors. Finally the motor fails prematurely. Maybe Rainbow has addressed this problem with better contacts and a highly sealed motor but I've heard of problems on their past products.
Rainbow makes a good vaccum , not trying to bash it but it requires a bit of special care to make it last longer.

Edit - Rainbow recommends removing the bowl when storing to cut back on humidity.
