I use Marine Grade Sta-Bil in the gas for all my small engines since my chainsaw shop recommended it years ago. No carb issues since then.
Eh...wot?

For my chain saws I use that pre-mix that comes in a quart can. The saws run great and you never have to worry about them starting if you put them away for a while. Only downside is it costs more to use them. I use regular Sta-bil and run it through my boat motors before putting them away. They seem to start just fine in spring. Isn't the marine grade Sta-bil to stabilize gas with ethanol in it?

Isn't the marine grade Sta-bil to stabilize gas with ethanol in it? Yes, regular Sta-Bil is for keeping fuel fresh for up to two years. It also claims to clean carbs and remove water from gas. Sta-Bil 360 Marine does all that and is designed to stabilize fuel with ethanol in it They claim it also limits corrosion within your fuel tank and system. They claim it keeps fuel fresh for up to one year.
Eh...wot?

I put it in the small engines, camper generator, and classic car for winter storage.
Just go by what they say to mix it to, to much can be hard on gaskets in carberators.
Let me sugar coat this

K 100 has a stabilizer for gas, They claim it keeps gas good for a few years. I've been using it my stand by generator & have had no problems with starting after long periods of time. Only thing it is a little more than sta bil.
