They are just starting up here, Michael.

I've been thinking, time to set the trap with the can of meat and the secret sauce mix !

Sure it’s not legal and don’t try this at home disclaimer, but a Molotov Cocktail shoved down in the hole works real good. Just wear your running shoes cause you have to be quick and precise!!

As dry as it is here right now, one of those cocktails would probably white out a whole lot more than just a yellow jacket nest and one could probably admire the results of such efforts from space. I'll stick with the chicken and Taurus method. That has another plus side as I don't have to find the yellow jackets nests as they will find the bait and I can clear quite a large area with 6 of these bait stations in one hit. Its 20 minutes of work and I won't see another one of those pests for the rest of the season.

Let's go Brandon

I went into HomeCheapo a few years ago because they had wasp killer on sale for 97cents a can. Off brand but worked , 25ft spray. I was getting some for my neighbor too. I put 4 cases in my cart. Got to checkout and put the 4 cases on the counter. The cashier looks at me and says " You must have a lot of bees !!!!!"

Then I had to explain to her this was a multi year supply for 2 households. I didn't think it looked odd buying 48 cans of spray at once. But it was on sale....lol.

When I find them they get gas and a match if possible. Gas alone works but ther is just something about watching them burn. Normally when I find them it's becuse something or someone got. Lit up.

Two years ago we had them real bad in Montana. They were so bad, I took an excavator to a bunch of decayed stumps and suspected nesting spots before I thinned some woods out with a chain saw. I had clouds of them stirred up. We couldn't even eat outside, they were such a nuisance. I put out the Taurus baits and was gone for a week. I hung a slew of them. When I came back, the yellow jackets were GONE. I only encountered a couple of them the rest of the summer. The Taurus and canned chicken baits devastated them. It didn't seem to bother the bald faced hornets, which don't bother us. They only hunt flys around the house.
