All of that sounds somewhat familiar ...... I drive through there on I-26 once a month on my work commute lol

You live on the better side of the mountain.

Campaign for Trump. You'll meet some quality folks. Then escape out to Chimney Rock state park where they filmed part of Last of the Mohicans. Tell them you trap wolves too! We'll keep an eye on the news for ya!

Pretty cool area, but I'd agree about the town. It was quite "diverse". Landscapes were amazing though.

One of the forest attractions is a slip and slide down the rock waterfall into the pool. Looked painfully fun.

Smoked, breaded BBQ catfish. Yummy!

Paid almost $10 for a fancy N/A beverage at a brewery. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor.

Got to tour the Cradle of Forestry. Pretty neat is you're a forestry geek. Got a great tour from Bob who was a wealth of knowledge and stories.

Sliding rock is a blast. It was one of the highlights of my childhood to slide down that rock over and over again. We used to get there super early in the morning so there wasn't a line. Man that morning mountain water was cold

Glad you are having a good time!

Gotta live up to the nickname...

Ha! Just watch out for falling trees while you are there. You don't want to end up like the last guy!
