Getting in touch with my Italian heritage today with my new pasta maker. Going to make some homemade sauce and homemade Italian bread too I think.

The pasta maker works really slick!

There's nothing like noodles from scratch!

When I make pot pie, I make the noodles from scratch and there's no comparison between them and store bought noodles.

You lost me with noodles and pot pie. What kind of Pennsylvania Dutch devilry is this? LOL Who eats noodles with potpie?

It's a Pa Dutch thing. Up here potpie is more like a soup than a southern pot pie.
We even pull our chicken apart for chicken and waffles.

Well, it's no tractor. laugh

Pie crust and egg noodles use the same ingredients and equipment, easy to make both when you have out all the components. wink Not necessarily to be eaten together.

I do my noodles the old fashioned way by rolling and slicing by hand. I make a good looking crust for my chicken pot pies too.

My noodles are just flour and egg. My pie crusts are flour, lard and ice water.

I use butter in both crust and noodles, and salt too. ... and a rollin' pin, sharp knife, pastry scraper, and big cutting board,,, lol.
