When FHA post results they refer to lynx and lynx cat. What we call bobcat here in the Northeast is “lynx cat”?
Thanks

Lynx = Canadian Lynx

Lynxcat = bobcat.

In the early 1980s Canadian Lynx we’re bringing good prices. Bobcat prices were struggling. The fur trade started calling western bobcats “lynxcats” to make them sound fancy and thus bring more money.

Today, lynxcat refers. In the fur trade, any bobcat, no matter where in North America comes from.
