So I get done checking traps this morning and almost back to the house when the landowner sends me a text.
There was a coon in the trough feeder last night.

So I sent a reply back and asked if that was the SW feeder?
He replied, yes.
So I sent him a pic and said, He never made it home though.

Needless to say he got a laugh out of that.

Jail time

I had been running Dukes and couldn’t find them when we went to buy more, so I ended up getting the Bridgers. MTP had a special on “slightly” rusted brand new traps (boxes had gotten wet) so we ordered a few dozen. I hate the anchoring of these traps, but every coon has been caught by both paws. Don’t know if it’s the circle trigger or not. Maybe they get all they can get and then use both hands to try and get what’s under the trigger, whatever it is works. Haven’t had a loss yet.

Wannabe, isn't that the Georgia State Animal? When i drove to SC I cut through the north end of the Peach State and man were there there a lot of opossum "grease spots" on the highway!....................... THE MIKE

I believe it is…it used to be skunks and armadillos, but I hardly see them anymore. Possums rule!!

That first pic gave me a good laugh, wonder if his family came to look for him and that’s when they ended up in the same situation. If only we could get rid of politicians like that
