Never owned one but have been around many. Good motors.

I’ve had a F90 and currently F115. You’ll love it. It can sit for six months and hit the key and it’ll fire immediately. Pretty quiet and good hole shot. They are so much lighter now than old 4 strokes used to be. I can’t speak for a tiller or a prop as I run jets on my shallow river but I can say way better than the mercury or the horrible Johnson 90 I had previously.

A 90 for a 16-18 ft Lund ? Thats crazy big and heavy for that small /light boat.

I have a F- 40 on my18 ft Lund and it goes pretty fast. Perfect IMO

The 70 is much lighter than the 90. I would go with that or a 50 0r 60.

I've got a 115 4 stroke on my 17' Lund explorer, it's not over powered..

Thats just crazy. I would like to see a picture of it just sitting in the water. With the weight of a 115 . Does the bow point at the stars ? Must be playing in a lake.

Is that a welded Lund ? It looks heavier built than the stock riveted ones like we have.

I bet it goes fast.

It's a riveted hull. with the wife and I in the boat I can get it a little over 40 mph if I trim it out... not as fast as one would think.

The guys around here with big motors on riveted boats usually end up with a leaky boat within a few years. The Yukon is a bit rough and choppy though maybe your results will be better on calm water there.
Looks like a nice set up.

Where I live they put 150’s on 17 ft boats. I’ve had 6 Lunds in 30 years and never had one leak. When Boeing starts welding there planes together, I might consider a welded boat.

We use our boats in the summer daily like you use your truck. They take a beating in the Yukon. All the Lunds here leak, except mine, for now.

I have the 80 hp 4 stroke Yamaha tiller on a Lund 17 foot Angler and I love it. I have had it for 20 years now and it gets a lot of use. You should be happy with the 90.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I’m somewhat amazed you fellas running riveted hulls don’t have leaks. I ran a riveted Smoker craft w/2 stroke 40 for 4-5 trapping seasons. I had to hammer the rivets twice, and finally replace a lot of them. Had it sink at the dock one night after a particularly rough trip home. The pounding in the chop knocked one rivet out. Welded boats tend to develop cracks at flex points from hard pounding in rough water.

I e had several 4 stroke Yamahas great motors, better if your Yamaha shop has good service.

I just repowered a 19' ft flatbottomed boat. it'll run around 28-29 at 5K. Smooth and quiet.
