I think I know but want to double check with you folks who really know your crap. An older pile. A fresher pile. Both piles about three or four inches across.
Eh...wot?

Black cherry pits? Kinda early for that.

Black cherry pits? Kinda early for that. They sure look like black cherry pits to me. I agree it seems early for them.

I happen to be a poo expert. That poo is actually a sub species of the polar bear called the Yinz bear. It's found throughout PA, with large numbers in Pennsyltucky.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

The first pic has a sort of fuzzy mold on the poo, it’s not hair.
No hair in the second pic.
Eh...wot?

I agree that it is coon poo. I first I thought it might be coyote but there would be at least some rodent hair in it. Coon could be climbing after the cherries.
Both piles (and probably more) are on my property. It's somewhat of a relief it's from a coon. At least they won't attack free-ranging chickens during the day like coyote and especially red fox will.
They present other problems though. A few years back we had one eating the cat food out of the feeder for the outside cats (feral cats if your Danny). One of the cats got brave and that coon messed it up bad. It also backed a kitten into a corner and chewed it's feet off. It chewed the feet off of some chicks we were raising in an old rabbit hutch with hardware cloth bottom. All that in the two or three days it took me to eliminate the trouble-maker.
Eh...wot?

Listen up men! Poo or poo poo is mommy and baby talk. Droppings is man talk. Carry on-
you can vote your way into socialism, but you will have to shoot your way out.
