We see ourselves subjective to what we see,,.displaved in trhis displasy of which portrayes I have made a lot of wood/fiberglass epoxy boats. All have been made using marine grade fir plywood. For the floor I would pre-treat both sides of plywood before installation with epoxy resin thinned with a little acetone. Make sure all edges and mounting holes are treat with same mix. Install your plywood, fill all holes or indentations with epoxy resin/ fiberglass beads sand flush, then get some light weight fiberglass cloth and cover the whole area with it and put one coat of epoxy resin over the area screws and all. Then apply a final coat of of Bed-liner material with a little ground walnut shell mixed in. I would mask side of hull and run a band of bedliner at least 3 inches wide up the side. I finish duck boats floors this way and they have held up very well for many years. I apply the Bed-liner with a roller. Pm me if you want more info. Be sure to get the "non-blush" epoxy resin and you won't need to sand between coats. Also do not use the normal poly resin it will not hold up in your application. I use a bed- liner material I get off web and it comes in colors. Google is your friend on getting these supplies, prices vary widely. I have found the inexpensive epoxy resins to work just as well as the high cost stuff. If you are going to do all that work I would,t skimp on materials, and at minimum use mdo ply. If you have support 1/4 inch could be enough. Also wait until it warms up a bit or do in heated area it speed everything up, epoxy doesn't like cold.
