People "walk away from gods plan" because they don't believe its anything more than fantasy. Seems to be a common theme among christians to worry about why others do not believe. Read the kids book the Emperor Has No Clothes if you want to know why so many do not believe.
Danny You have shared a lot of good trapping advise with us, especially when it comes to coyotes and bobcats and I listen to your words when you speak them. My point is you share because you know what works and you want to help others. Same reason a Christian shares Christ with others.

Not many people in America embrace it,but walk away from God plan to save mankind.the Bible says that Jesus Christ is an offense and a rock of stumbling to people. That because people like the darkness rather then God's litebecause there Sins will be exposed.
is complete nonsense and insulting

Danny, You’re easily insulted by others believes. I am not a practicing Christian but I fully support people who are because I don’t see them as a threat to me!
You also seem easily annoyed.
Have a nice Sunday.

Stories about the Easter bunny or Santa Clause don't stir up feelings in me because I recognize them as silly stories with no relevance to me or my life. When an atheist feels they should take up the battle about the existence of God, I always suspect that there is some inner conflict and the matter isn't completely settled for them.

I sense many people here don't want to be confronted with topics about God and the Bible, they're just not comfortable delving into it. They're happy with their lives as they are and don't want anything interfering with it, including God. There's also the element of using ignorance as a means of defense. You can't be held accountable for something you know nothing about so people simply refuse to acknowledge it, or if they do, they dismiss it for a lack of evidence.

Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Proverbs 18:2-3 Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions. Doing wrong leads to disgrace, and scandalous behavior brings contempt.

Your wrong! You can't slip thru God's words and expect to get a pass. Everything is covered in his word. In the first chapter of Roman's it says people don't have any excuse .loop up Roman's 1:20

I have ran into this before too, mostly in the army. And one of the biggest things they say is macroevolution and stuff like that. So I second the apologetics method if you're trying to convince a non-believer because they need to believe the Bible is factual and authentic in all it's teachings before you can start using it to guide them in the right direction. Because it's very hard to believe if your earth origin story belief doesn't line up with what the Bible says. Not to mention if you think the facts line up with your origin beliefs but you don't know that they don't.

The Bible is not a rule book, it is about God, the Word is the only way to know God, whether it is read or heard. There are a lot of books from other religions but they all say what you need to do to earn salvation, or reward...the Bible tells us what Jesus has done! Everything we read in the Bible is either pointing to Christ or helping us to understand God( He is just, He chooses the least likely) ultimately for Gods glory.
So if the Word of God is the only way we can know Him (read or heard.) Then there is no way to explain why the Word is important without the Word.
But my best answer to a non believer is that there is no motive for writing the Bible if it is not true.
Power? The Bible says that God is the only power. Not a preacher, priest, or elder etc. And the Bible says whoever seeks to be first will be last and whoever is last will be first. There is no room in the Bible for a preacher with an agenda for power, leaders are to be servants. Remember we follow Jesus and He washed the feet of His disciples and was crucified for the sins of the people God created, He did that rather than use His power to topple Rome and put His people in power like the Jews wanted.
Money? The Bible doesn’t say anywhere that you are to give your money to a church leader to make them rich, it says that money is to go to the poor. And tithes are to meet the needs of the church and pastor who is serving the Lord full time, but not to pad their pockets! So Kenneth Copeland and Joel Osteen are way out of bounds, and way out of step with Gods character, which is apparent in.....the Bible.
So to me that’s a good starting point on why the Bible is trustworthy...but without the work of the Holy Spirit all the reason in the world won’t convince somebody.

God will lose none that He calls, not one. The bigger battle is convincing the awakened sinner that they're not beyond the mercy of God. Tares will remain tares.

Wolfdog, What makes the Bible special to you, what you believe could go a long ways toward answering your question. We all are at different levels of maturity in our lives, wether its your walk in life as a believer or life in general. If you were a trapper who had never trapper over 25 coyotes and some one asked you how to catch 100 all you could tell them is to do what I did but do It with 4 times more experience. What I'm saying is if you can't answer the question honestly then you're answer should be just that. You may want to challenge you're friend to help you find an answer. If your friend is curious about it he will comply.

I'm sorry but using the Bible as and explanation for the Bible just plain doesn't help.
Wolfdog, as believers we are to be ambassadors for God to others. You have an opportunity with your friends to introduce them to Jesus Christ. The Bible is the Word of God, and it can be proven with a little homework. You have to ask yourself Why do you believe it is the Word of God?
Unfortunately, not everyone believes it to be true and you are going to need to know Why you believe that because dark times are ahead. The video below from the late Chuck Missler is the best study of the topic I have seen. Worth your time and will help answer your questions and strengthen your faith. Chancey

The fact that Non believers are drawn to these threads, like moths to a light, is interesting to me. Just something I will ponder with myself during my next read.
