Anybody sell and old 3/4 ton pickup for scrap lately?

How much are old vehicles worth?

Around here it’s by weight. People mostly fill the cad and bed full of other junk and fill the gas tank full of water to get more weight wink

does it run?
are there any usable parts?

I got 450 for my 2004 F150 after it was rolled in 2020 , it ran great before it landed on the roof , never tried to start it after just go it on it's wheels and pulled it home the auto salvage place sent the wrecker to get it from my drive way and cut me a check.

running engine and working transmission , crap value of carilitic converters , gas tank , and everything else they can take off of it and still get the scrap steel weight price think about what all that is selling for , go look at it on a used parts place.

a used running engine is going to sell for 1000 and same for the transmission so they probably got 2500 out of it easily minus a little labor but they have pulling engines down to an art

I bought a low milage 350 4x4 trans last year for $350,
it was from 1/2 ton though. Some have PTO $$.
Been watching for a good 350 / 5.7 GM.

Edit I said that wrong, not TH350 trans but 700r4.

I sold the catalytic converter of a 2004 F150 to the salvage yard last week for $550 and a sierra 1500 cat for $250. Converters are crazy high now for the platinum content.

I can give a good estimate
unless you knew the cats were blown already
If they were old 1980-87 Chevs that was only 1000$
EACH

I should have stated this was for a 1973 Chevy heavy duty Pickup. It was the worst riding vehicle I ever rode in. I doubt it has a catalytic converter. I doubt it has any salvageable parts. It has been parked in a garage for the last 15 or so years.

Don't scrap it! Those trucks are bringing great money if they aren't rusted to pieces.

73 chevs have a large beaded cat that has little beads inside. the size of a lead BB, they are very heavy with the metals that are valuable, they ave a screen in front and if they are in place $$$. DO NOT LET THEM POKE THEM in their inspection they can see the screen and shake 1500$ each

4-500$ each for those Fords
Check out RRCATS.Com for prices they give you a quote on picture you send them
