if it can be turned over by hand or better yet toss a battery on it and it turns over

You are throwing money away if you scrap that

$235 scrap price. It would be best to advertise for sale. Anything over the scrap price is a deal for you and maybe a deal for the new owner.

There's a youtube channel out of Iowa called Junkyard Digs. they do all kinds of revival videos on old stuff just like that.

That wood bed was a special order . The steel bed became standard in 1973 in the longbed and the short bed . There was no wood option for the short bed .
The stepside was wood 73- 87


Does it make it worth more ? Probably not , but not very common . maybe even rare . Only the second one I've seen

I would sell it for a parts truck to someone instead of taking it to the crusher .

If you cleaned it up and got it running you may get 4,000 for it, old trucks are higher than giraffe nuts
