Let’s try to share some ideas.
I am eating out much less. Probably a 80% reduction.
Set my summer thermostat to 78.
Taking advantage of my chest freezer to bulk up on meat when I see decent sale prices.
Using the internet to shop prices, sorry Lowes & Home Depot, found a local lumber yard that saved me $125 on a $350 purchase.
Actually joined Sam’s Club and now have a year supply of laundry detergent, laundry sanitizer, coffee filters, and dish detergent.
What are you doing?

Still have some 1-ply Scott’s tp wife bought in bulk at Sams during the first Covid outbreak and tp shortage. We are about to finish it up.

I can honestly say that Scott’s allowed me to stay in touch with myself for two plus years. I am ready for some distance. No more Braille.

Mostly just drive less, and a couple things like you. Buy more bulk and freeze.

Just put AC in this morning, went without until now where we would've had it on a month or so ago.

No trips this summer......FJB

And after seeing Charles post, those who voted for him too!

I live by the Cree prophesy that you cannot eat money.
In other words,in the big picture money is not important.

I bet you don't eat much without having money either.

While I consider myself frugal (my wife calls it "cheap"), I think it's wise to see where you actually spend your money and where costs have increased. I have our finances on a computer program that breaks down spending by category and then tells me where each category has increased or decreased. You can save pennies on things like TP and internet sales, but shopping my insurance every couple months has saved me the most money. Also, shopping for gas and planning my trips was another big ticket item.
Unless you know where inflation is hitting you the hardest, you can't really adapt a plan to combat it.

As it relates to trapping, I have limited my purchases to a few desperately needed items. I typically order several pints of lure from a well known source but this year, with inflation, postage, extra charges for the lure container, etc., the cost per pint ended up being something like $80. I went back to my lure shed and cobbled together all the partial pints and bottles of various lures from the past and came up with several pints. I also made several tried and true lures from "free" ingredients that I had in my shed. So I've saved what is typically my $300-400 annual lure spending budget.

Buy things in bulk when on sale. Pay attention to coupons. Preserving more stuff from my garden instead of giving it away. Fishing closer to home.

Funny you say fishing closer home.

I did the same this spring for Trout. No sense going 15 miles when I could go only 7 I figured!

Watching the Pennie’s, dollar take care of themselves.

Make sure the generator is ready! Loosing freezers full of food would be a disaster, until freeze up anyway!

I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

Not true in the big picture.
People ate before money and people will eat after money is gone.
But you cant eat money if the food is gone.

You don't draw a glass of water without money Boco.

Could you? Yes, but you dont.

Just being realistic for 99.9% of the population.
