Oh, boy!! Where do I begin???

Started making a Live edge Coffee Table for the Living room today. Got the Maple boards all planed up ; when you know who , says " I want to cut the boards for the top on the Miter Saw! "

"Ok", I said.

She takes one of the boards, and proceeds to start cutting . I happened to glance over at the saw, and noticed she did not have the board up against the fence. BIG NO NO! I was always taught !

I said to her " You need to have that board tight up against the fence, so it does not kick back on you."

She says: " I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING ! THIS IS JUST A MITER SAW! Then , she says something in Pennsylvania German with a grumpy look on her face!!

I go back to working on the side pieces, and then I heard it !! That unmistakable sound a board makes when it hits the blade , and kicks back !

YIKES!!!!

I go to help, and said " Need a Band Aid?"

She answers in a LOUD VOICE "JAWOHL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

So, I get the Band aides, preparing for the worst. I look at the finger , and i said " It's just a broken finger nail. Next time, put the board up against the fence.

She said " You should have told me that first!

I said " Uh, I did. You said you knew what you were doing .

Her answer : "AND YOU BELIEVED THAT????"



WHY are Women like that??????????????

Not just German women do that.

Men too.

Just sayin.......

Yep, that sounds like stubborn to me. LOL

When you figure it out, let me know.....I 'm married to one!

I done learned mine and power tools don't mix, ever.

I'd have to ask mom but she might be nose to nose with Dad right now arguing the finer points of life

I fell your pain. Put new windows in the garage. She didn’t want them to open. I kept telling her that was a mistake because there wouldn’t be enough airflow in the summer. I was told to zip it . Now the garage is as hot as a oven. When I said something about it I was told that I was THE MAN and should grow a pair and tell her what to do even if she didn’t want to hear it. . You just can’t win!!!!
