I use the lotrimin jock itch cream on the tater sack surrounding areas as needed and while that has been the issue in the past that is under control

the most annoying spot at the moment is the center of my chest

I tried the apple cider vinegar and water on my chest as soon as that idea was given and it is soothing , cooling seems to stops the itch for about an hour so I guess that I will be doing that for a while.

I use medicated powder. Many brands available. I apply after showering and before putting on my clothes in the morning.

When I'm really sweaty things irritate my skin that usually don't. Sawing walnut and even red oak will sometimes cause a rash. For that use hydrocortisone like you're doing. Some old timers like the witchhazel thats next to the rubbing alcohol in the store.
What I call heat rash is red splotches that are irritated and sometimes painfill. Usually in areas that are covered or chaff. For this corn starch is good. The anti-monkey butt stuff pretty good too.

When your hot and your drawers, socks and all get togethers are saturated is when your at greatest risk as the skin is waterlogged and compromised and the slightest friction is going start peeling the skin surface. I've learned the hard way to stop and strip down and dry out at the first tingle of rump rash.

Prevention is well worth it. I've just about quit wearing cotton drawers as they soak and hold sweat against the skin. I want drawers that stay dry and wick sweat away. If that means silk drawers then so be it. Same goes for britches and shirts. Soak it up and dry it out quick fabrics.

Add some Gold Bond or corn starch and you'll get through most days without trouble.

well I was talking with the wife this morning that if this isn't showing improvment by Monday I was going to call my DR

I was still developing new rash on Saturday when this started on Monday and that just doesn't make sense for just heat rash alone

I got thinking this is a lot more like when I get poison ivy but I don't think I got exposure to that i have it in places that would have been very hard to have contact and I got my cloths off and got in the shower right away

she said walk in is open right now.

so I went to the walk in clinic

doc agrees my body seems to be way over reacting much like it does on poison ivy but this is my body over reacting to what started as heat rash

either way 10 days prednisone which has been the only thing that has gotten my over poison ivy the last couple times.

if I didn't do something soon I was going to look like those mangy coyotes you guys post that make your skin crawl

Get some poplin coveralls and ditch jeans or heavy clothes. The coveralls hang on your and the sweat dries fast so fewer chaffing problems.

I had that happen to me 4-5 years ago. Working too hard for too long in the heat of the day in the 90s and humid, without drinking enough water. My skin swelled up in large patches, turned a non-human color, and had a painful itch to it. I believe that it was an overreaction of the immune system letting me know not to do that any more. It went away in 48 hours.
I get that same type of reaction when I TIG weld without a welding jacket. I used to just get a little sunburn from doing that. Now I turn into a leper if I do it.
My hyper skin reaction is the main reason why I declined to be "jabbed."

Poison ivy on a muffler can heat it a then it is air-born-- from cutting in the bush last time maybe

I have gotten poison ivy from working on my father in-laws tractor 20 year ago

these cloths had been laundered with in the last week and were not my normal wood cutting cloths just yard work cloths

because I have such a reaction to poison ivy I am very cautious about where I cut and when

the more I rule out the thinks it couldn't be to get it in the places I have it , and the pattern of where I have it , my body over reacting to the heat and my failure to drink water is the only thing that makes sense.

Could be an allergic reaction to a new soap, or laundry detergent, or a food allergy from something you ate.

Don't really know, I'm 70 and that's how Grandma did it for diaper rash, which works awesome, so why change. It works great for heat rash also.
