When I go to camp on my northern trapline, from home it is 140 km return trip. When I go to my camp on the close line it is 26 km return trip.. The farthest nuisance beaver work I do would be 270 km return trip. We go by miles here.Go talk that talk in your Canada land trapper forum.

I still pity the last guy that tried to help me along.

I remember being in high school back in the sixties and there was talk to completely switch to the Metric system by the turn of the 21st century. It never happened. Too old for me to try to get use to another measuring system.. Liberia and Myanmar are the other two countries that don’t use metric. From what I read, they are planning on phasing in the metric system I graduated high-school in 98. They were still saying it then.

It varies daily for me. Today it was 180 miles round trip. That's probably about average for me. Thank God, I get paid for mileage! My check each week for mileage runs about $600.
