There was a shooting at a shopping mall this afternoon (gun free zone),at least 3 people killed plus the shooter. Sad situation, for sure. The ironic thing is, the shooter was killed by an armed good samaritan.

Saw that.This will be swept under the rug.Cant have an armed citizen being a hero,,doesn't fit the liberal agenda.

expect that you will see very little media coverage of this

in 2021 there were 61 active shooter incidents

of those 17 of them were security/ law enforcement engaged

2 of them were citizen engaged

there has already been at least one in 2022 stopped by a citizen this would be 2 possibly more

Good thing the good guy walks past the no gun signs with his gun and was there to stop it fast. Won't be any press about that ot our constitutional carry just went into effect.

22 year old with handgun stops shooter with a long gun by himself.

Well they are voting on an "assault weapons" ban this week, so will have to try again with another shooting that does not " backfire on them " .... harsh ?? yep but I don't put it past them.

I'm not sure I would call this a "gun-free zone". The owners of the property may have signs on the doors saying weapons are not permitted. But it's still not any kind of crime or infraction to carry a firearm or other legal weapon right past those signs. Neither the murderer nor the defender committed a crime by having a gun inside the mall.

As a Hoosier, I don't know whether to be proud that a fellow Hoosier was there to stop this murderer, or embarrassed that our mass murderers aren't smart enough to go to a real gun-free zone.

I think four dead is enough to meet the official classification of a "mass shooting".

I'm curious if anyone outside of Indiana is seeing/hearing/reading this on their national news.

4 shot by the shooter, 2 killed. Shooter killed by 22 y/o man carrying legally. Fox is covering and showing LE giving kudus to the armed citizen. Don't expect CNN or MSNBC to tell the whole story, just the mass shooting part.

Here in Va it is unlawful to carry in a place posted "no guns allowed." Misdemeanor charge. Same in Tn. Not so in other states including Ky and apparently In. Good for them.

the Obama administration changed the number in 2012 from 4 not including the shooter to 3 not including the shooter

the Media keeps counting the shooter in the dead and that is not how it works.

the shooter doesn't get to count they made that decision for themselves they are just compost they decided their life didn't mater.

in many places carrying past a no gun sign you didn't see is only trespassing IF you are spotted and asked to leave and refuse to immediately leave.

lots of places aid in helping citizens not see as they like to not advertise too loud so they fall short of the signage requirements it is posted abut ankle level on an inner door off to the side so it depends on the state what is and isn't legal posting. as well as what the punishment is.

as an example there was a long time ban on concealed carry in WI , until 2011 when CCL became an option. we always had open carry but should your jacket cover your gun accidentally it was a 100 dollar fine which was a pile of money I recon in 1900

Today show said it was stopped by an armed Good Samaritan this morning. Had a police officer on saying an armed citizen stopped the gunman. Actually they said it multiple times in the story. Surprised the heck out of me to see it reported nationally but I have to admit they actually did their job this time.

Saw it this A.M. on national news.
