How can I find out what it's worth? Neighbor brought me a bandsaw mill that he bought that needed lots of tlc. Been running it, working out the kinks and have produced some 4/4 and 5/4 cedar. 5-8 inch widths. Looking to sell some to pay for some upgrades. What is rough sawn lumber worth? Have no idea what to ask for it. The cedar is not knotty, nice red and straight grain.

Saw your clear cedar 8/4" and market it to turkey call makers.

Check your local prices on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. There are dozens of fine lumber ads on those two sites locally.

Another way to go is mill it to 1/4 and sell it for closet liners and cedar chest's.

There is also a good market for 6 to 12 quarter , live edge slabs. Wider the better . They use them for river tables. Don't have to be clear. crotches, defects all give more character. . don't have to be too long.. Market online. Don't give them away, they sell expensive.
Almost any hardwood if it has good grain.
If you are tuning up your saw, look at Cooks sawmills online they have all kinds of setup tips. on u tube. When I replaced my blade guides, I purchased there guide and rollers. Worked well. old243
